    Yeah exactly that’s why I don’t wanna add it to my coffee because no matter what a diet is telling you adding an extra 200 calories in my diet of the day is definitely going to put me at a calorie overload. And we all know to lose body fat. You have to be in a calorie deficit.

    Dont ever cook with it Dont dont put it in hot coffee, but on warm is okay Dont break a fast with it , but to drizzle on the second meal is all good Dont replace other fat oils with it, because it's more of a supplement. And dont miss the Gems he mentions at the end either

    One of the most painful diarrhea sessions I ever had was taking MCT oil on an empty stomach after a 24 hour fast. Sharp intestine pains. DONT DO IT!

    I greatly appreciate your videos and find that you talk to me when I'm grocery shopping, cooking, or using MCT oil. You might check out recent research on MCT helping dementia patients if you haven't already. MCT makes a great massage oil. Owning a wellness center, we've found that it works wonders for our client's skin. We ran out of the commercial massage oil and used MCT oil until the supply arrive. I don't know of any research, but it might be interesting to know if MCT oil is absorbed by the skin. And, there's a huge savings when bought in bulk.

    I use it with my coffee at 4 am when I get up for work along with some bulletproof creamer and it’s delicious, satisfying. I’ve given up so much in my quest to get thin and this is one thing I’m not giving up!

    MCT oil is really high in fat and calories. No matter what the diet is telling you, the only way to lose body fat is to have a calorie deficit. And adding an extra 200 cal a day in my coffee seems to me like it’s a recipe for weight gain.

    omg!!! Thomas thank you for this! I have been successfully doing keto fasting for 7 months with great success. Enjoying a teaspoon of mct oil in my piping hot coffee 3 times a day. Out of the blue I started getting pain in my intestines and starting feeling rank and I know it was the mct oil because as soon as I stopped it, it went away. BUT I couldnt work out why..its meant to be magic..whats wrong with me. What you said about the heat makes perfect sense. I feel like I was turning it poisonous to my body without realising it. Preach brother preach!!! 🙂

    Wasn't going to watch this as I've been using mct oil for 2 years but so glad I did. I was using it while fasting which is wrong and also I'd take it usually in a hot cup of coffee. Thank god I watched it, thanks so much! Just going to use it now and again on salads now.

    Thanks! Needed the temperature info, and timing of using MCT for energy. I got to my goal weight then gained 10 lbs back. I'm suspecting my KETO sweeteners as making me want to eat more than I should, and too much healthy fats also.

    Actually, I found that there are between 110 to 130 calories per tablespoon depending on the brand. Great information Thomas, Thank you. ☺️😊😊❤️

    I did not like the “feeling” I got with MCT Oil. It made me zoom as if I had just taken an amphetamine. I have not used in since, and I’ve lost 147lbs now - from 321lbs to 174lbs at 5’11” & 60 years old.

    MCT Oil can be used for low to mid temperature cooking. The smoke point of MCT oil is 320°F, which is lower than it's cousin coconut oil, who's smoke point is 350°F. Anything above 320°F will start to damage the fats, making the powers of MCT oil less potent. I cook with MCT oil all the time but I’m careful with it.

    I started using the bulletproof MCT oil, last year in April, of 2022. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to use laxatives anymore, but I don’t know what happened after a year of using it, it just stopped working as a laxative. I’m still using it but, I don’t know if I should continue taking the capsules bc It doesn’t serve my purpose anymore. Does it still work for you as a laxative? I would like to hear your opinion and any advise that you may have. Thanks

    Cleared the fog there Thomas thanksfor that. I am minus 30lbs fat and holding ,male 53 yrs of age with 16 yr old lumbar fusion. Thank you !!! For being part of my miracle. Question....Would mct in conjunction with a d-ribose and beet juice combo be logical for a pre-workout non-stimulate supplement??

    MCT oil has a night smoking point of 300 F. The water boils at 220 F (100 C). 👉 80 degrees difference. 👈 It Means that we may add boiled H2O to MCT and not oxidise it.

    Thanks for this. Super guilty of putting it in coffee for several months now. Will put it into protein shakes instead I think. Or drizzle it over food like you mentioned. I'm getting my clock cleaned tonight, man. This information about MCT oil and then earlier tonight I learned that the almond milk that I've been drinking for about 2 years now has vitamin A palmitate in it. Which is super awful. It's a good night for me! Very informative. Lol.

    @ThomasDelauer do you think it’s a good idea to have a protein shake alone, or with some eggs ( or any other protein chicken or red meat) first meal in the morning? With or without working out… or should the shake be something used later on in the day. I ask for the reason of sugar that the shake brings. I think I’ve been using or abusing the shakes in the morning ( I would get a large 40oz, I’ve recently bought it down yo a med 32oz). My sugar levels have been high , borderline. Appreciate your channel, love the content

    So I usually break my fast with a protein shake. I use Sunwarrior"s Plant based protein (a recommended protein powder by yourself) that contains mtc in it. I add some fruits and almond milk to the recipe. Will this still have the same effect on the gut from fasting even though its combined with the protein?

    Sounds like good advice. I just got a bottle because I was told it works to eliminate brain fog..and moms Dimentia..

    When I had mct I'd always use it in my first meal, breaking usually a 15 or 16 hour TRE... and I never felt bad. I think it's because (1) I used only 5 g and (2) together with a LOT of food that was full of fibre and stuff. I guess it's a problem to have it in the first meal with coffee or pure because then yes... it will shock the gut. Plus coffee is a gut irritant. But taking it along with food and 1/2 the recommended dose would give me stable energy and good gut response. The food buffered the entrance of MCT a bit, avoiding this shock.

    Learning a lot watching all of your informative videos! I just watched another video of yours recommending to break a fast with Keto coffee(coffee+MCT oil+ghee). However, in this video you are saying that breaking a fast with MCT oil should be avoided. I am a bit confused...🤯

    I use avocado oil in cooking and MCT in coffee. Then I eat coconut, nuts and olives and use coconut milk.

    2:40 What's interesting is that in one of your recent videos, you state from a recent study that the research has shown that MCT actually does kick start Ketosis.

    I've noticed this too, but to be fair on both sides. He is learning every day about all of this like many of the other people here on youtube. Dr Berg states that MCT or too much of it will hinder IF but only for a extremely short period and then your back on track etc.

    @@Hawkeye517 Exactly, hence why I unsubscribed from him ages ago when I got a bit more educated on the whole Diet / Lifestyle / Proper Human diet thing myself. Remember, he's only some guy on the internet that lost 100lbs as he always states himself.

    Yeah I was planning on adding some to my ACV and lemon juice early in the morning when I wake while still fasted right before heading to the gym. I guess I can't.

    Good Stuff Thomas, but I would like to dig into the advice of putting it in warm coffee, but not hot coffee? At what temperature does MCT Oil break down? From googling, it looks like the smoke point of MCT Oil is 320. Most coffee is brewed at 195-205 degrees. Seems like there is plentry of buffer there. I actually like using MCT Oil to help keep the coffee hot - the oil holds onto the heat better compared to if not used.
