    Thank you for the honest intro, Peter. I think what makes this channel special is that the stories are realistic and that you present them in an unbiased way. Real stories might not always end well or be action-packed, but they always have something we can learn from. At the very least these stories probably saved some blokes from financial ruin. At best you might have even helped some lads dodge the bar girls entirely and find genuine relationships. I just listened to the story about Derrick and Kwan. He may have had his heart broken, but at least in his case he wasn't bankrupted and he was able to make some great memories with Kwan and raise their daughter. Kwan herself was able to experience a renascence of a sort and bring some joy to a lonely lad. As bitter sweet as this story was, I'm sure it was better than the lonely fate he was facing if he had never left the U.K. Life isn't perfect, but it has it's beautiful moments. Thanks for hosting this show, Peter.

    Thanks Peter.... That fourth story - all I can think is "why bother?". All that "playing her at her own game" etc etc etc.... It all sounded way more bother than it was worth.... just dump the woman and get a new one - one with less "games" and what seems like a bunch of hassle. Unless, of course, your the type that loves all that - some blokes do. Personally I can think of better things to do!!! All the best everyone 👍👍🙂🙂💓

    I am also a creator but I do mostly comedy and entertainment. I liked your cartoon (s) as well.. I was really scammed badly.. once $30,000 US + from a girl who was going to marry me.. she had 5 boyfriends I found out.. another time scammed out of $20,000 by a taxi driver coming from Phachara Hotel near Nana, on my way to the airport… a SUPER elaborate taxi scam!!! I will make my own video, or just write it to you.. I bet you never heard of a taxi scam costing someone $20,000 US… lol 😂

The culture here is totally different from anywhere in the West. Spend 6 months minimum with any 'darling ' IF you must! Learn about the place! Far too many traps and dangers here!

    Men. Learn to say no. If it's hard just practice. It gets easier. When this guy talked about "playing her game" I cringed. Telling her he's got lawyer problems? Why not just say no. Also 18000b a month? A quick google search would tell you that's a mansion on the beach price. Even 5000b in the sticks is high. So many things can be solved when you men learn to say no. They won't leave if they're still benefiting more than not. There's zero reason for a monthly payment to her. It's so damn easy to get a girl here. Learn to be a bloody man that is in control. The woman accept this. Damn, they accept abuse if they benifit more than if they weren't with you. Learn to say no. Stop thinking she's a poor little kid. I learned the hard way. But have had five very happy years since. Nothing bad happens saying no. Woman here also cut out the crap if you don't accept it straight on. I'm calm and a nice guy. But I have healthy boundaries. And I'm having a much better time now and much more success than when I felt bad and didn't say no or made excuses. You need to grow up and have boundaries.

    Many years ago i picked up an old American edition of FHM magazine. The story inside went like this. Man meets Thai lady and falls for her. She comes from a small village and her family is poor. she start milking him for money, he somehow finds out not only does she have several men on the hook she is also married to a Thai man. She askes him to buy the family a pick up truck. So he agrees and also says that they should celebrate. He gets her to book a hall with catering etc. (all in her name) He doesn't actually buy the truck but says that he will bring it to the hall and then they can all party. By the time they are assembled at the party he was on a plane home to the USA.

    I still can't believe anyone would pay a monthly salary to a bar girl in a foreign country. They must be laughing their asses off with their friends! As always, great stories, Peter.

  • @ThailandBound

    @ThailandBound

    2 жыл бұрын

    It is not considered a salary because the girls work to support entire family’s so any monthly payments a guy gives a girls is to compensate her family for the loss of income by the girl quitting work. Everyone is happy, the guy because he has a stunning beauty to keep him company, the girl because her family is being looked after and the family because they can eat. It is very difficult for Western people to get their heads around this but quite normal practice in many South East Asian countries. Locals also sometime do the same, not just foreigners, as said “It is more of an understanding that suits everyone concerned.”

    Great stories, thank you! On the subject of philanthropy - because I have a generous baggage allowance, I used to buy up basic English books for children from the usual book discounters in London and take them with me, where my friends would take them to a temple to give to poor children. On my latest visit, in 2019, I noticed that these books are readily available in Bangkok at low cost. If you go upcountry, I suggest that you take some with you. You can help make a difference to someone's life.

    The MGTOW philosophy thankfully teaches you to avoid these kind of women, if not, all women. I think thai women are the best for lovers and girlfriends, but never for taking as wives. I hope the situation is a little bit better in neighbouring countries like Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and even Buthan.

    If you're a foreigner going to Thailand expecting to find wives, you're mistaken. The majority of wives are married off young. What is left is undesirable, feminist, and party girls. You won't find wives in bars or on the street. Go to enjoy the place but don't expect to find a good woman. More than likely, you will be swindle.

    So here is a valid criticism of your story format. You have to keep in mind that the people who write in to your channel are not professional stories writers. Often then give useless superfluous information in their stories which does not add to the stories at all. In fact they distract from the main story. For example if Bob means Nan in Phuket, then leaves to Bangkok and dates Mae for a week only to return to Nan in Phuket who then they get married and she steals all his money to pay for her sick buffalo. If there was 100 lines about Nan and 20 lines about Mae you could likely cut down Mae story to two lines and keep Nan at 100 for brevity. Cause Mae is not remotely essential to the story line

    Ok several points I'd like to raise about your comment. Firstly, I'm an amateur I'm not a professional! Secondly it's not for me to Police peoples stories and start hacking them to bits. Lastly I have told almost 500 stories on my channel over the last 3 years, I have 38,000+ subscribers and have had close to 7 million views on my channel, yours is the first comment to criticise the efforts of contributors. Most people who listen to these stories enjoy them, if they're not for you may suggest you go off and watch another channel as I won't be changing the format.

    @@shane0traveller451 fair enough. I thought it was too expensive and the girls too haggard. They are much more "dirty" than anywhere else I've been. Every bar I had two girls playing with my dick and shoving my hand up their skirt to find they weren't wearing panties. I much prefer Pattaya though. I don't drink much and I just walk along the beach outside my room and many more girls of all levels. Haggard to young and beautiful.

    In 2002 I went to Thailand so I could renew my visa. I was there for a week so I decided to go to a small local island off the coast. I was using one of the traveling books as a guide to get there (bad idea). I had lots of time to get to the bus station since I left early in the morning. So I started the trek on foot asking locals for directions, I learned quickly that they didn’t like to say they didn’t know or didn’t understand 😂 After most likely going around in circles and taking a bus, a kind lady finally gave me good directions. I get to the bus depot and buy my ticket to someplace near where I was going (as directed in the guidebook). So I get on the bus and I'm happy to be on my way. Later that evening as the bus was making its way there a tire blows up so we are delayed for an hour or so. Killing time I started talking to the locals and asking about how I should get to the port from the drop off point. Luckily a lady on the bus could speak English… she tells me I am on the wrong bus. And that I should have taken a different one since there was a new bus route 😂 When we finally get off the bus she tries to help me get a taxi to the port. However, unexpectedly the taxi driver gets into a fight with someone so she says I shouldn’t go with him. Her friends that were picking her up said they would take me there, so I pilled in to their truck. Along the way I realized we weren’t going there so I asked where were we going… they said their place 😂 It was now around 10 or 11 pm. We get to their place and it's a house on a military base along the coast. Nice area and nice beaches. After they dropped off some belongings they gave me a tour of the base and then they drove me to where I wanted to go. So now close to midnight I get there and none of the ferry boats are running. I scanned the area for places to stay...there was nothing in eyesight to be found except the beach. So I started talking to some other Thai people on the pier. They also wanted to cross... after some time they convinced the ferry owner to take us (tho we had to pay double) 😂 We get across and now we have the same problem getting a ride. After some negotiation, we all get into the back of a truck and I am dropped off where I wanted to go. I asked for a bungalow... I was told there are no places to stay 😂 A short time later, someone shows me a bungalow and says it's vacant. At this point, I am so tired and just want to get some sleep. So I was happy... I have a shower and get ready for bed... As I lay down I notice there are a lot of flying ants and bugs in the room. Most likely the bungalow was infested and so that's why it was vacant 😂 I barely slept that night. It's one of the longest days I have had.

    It is so sad that a lot of Western men are willing to get involved with women working in supermarkets and such. Needless to say about marrying go-go bar girls and "freelancers". Says a lot about the dating scene in the West, in my opinion.
