Hi Ethan, coming back now from a session with annoying lateral wind... Do you have tips for the best way to paddle with lateral wind/waves? (like position on the board, paddle technique...). Thanks!

Hey! Yeah, lateral wind is never fun to paddle in. The 3 best pieces of advice I can give are: 1. Keep a low stance for stability. 2. Maintain bent legs to absorb the movement of the water and keep more pressure on the downwind side foot. So, if the wind is on your right, keep more weight on your left foot. This will help the board track straighter by pushing against the wind as you paddle. 3. Keep your paddle at an angle when paddling on the downwind side and a vertical angle when paddling on the wind side. Hope those tips helps you out a bit!

Hello, I already have the starboard Go 11.2x32 in Rhino finish. I love the design of the table although I haven't been able to release it yet. If I want to increase performance and make the board faster than the keel, would you recommend me to buy? Would I notice enough difference with another keel? thank you so much.

Hey Pablo! Could you clarify what you mean by keel? Do you mean fin? 😁

@@ethanhuffsup Muchas gracias Ethan.

On windy days do you usually paddle into the wind for the first half and then have the wind at you back for the second half?

Yes, I like to do this if possible for safety reasons. That way if I get tired I can make my way back easier rather than having to fight wind.

What app do you use? Any tracker at the watch?

I use an app called Paddle Logger and they have some great features for paddlers. Also, works well with the Apple Watch.

How do I structure the recovery workouts and also the and interval workouts? What do I do within them?

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish and your heart rate Zones. Recovery and base training should be in your lower zones for aerobic conditioning and threshold/speed training should be done in your upper zones.
