I am a Holistic Physician. This man must be working for the pharmaceutical industry. Outrageously dangerous advice!

I can't believe that he is recommending people to take statins as if it was like eating an apple a week. He advocates for seeing the human body as a complex system-which I completely agree with-and then he tells everybody to take statins, as if he understood the effect that one drug can have in the whole "complex" system. It's true that statins lower inflammation in the body and that's probably why it helps reduce the risk for heart disease, but, for example, what about it's effect on the brain? Confusion and memory loss are known side effects of statins, as reported by the FDA in February 2012; and another study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine in 2012 showed a 48% increased risk of diabetes in women taking these drugs (and diabetes is a strong risk factor for Alzheimer's). There is a scientist from MIT, Stephanie Seneff, who wrote an interesting essay about why low-fat diets and statins may be behind Alzheimer's, because of the drug's effect on the liver, hindering its capacity to produce cholesterol and coenzyme Q10, which seem to be essential for the healthy brain (people.csail.mit.edu/seneff/alzheimers_statins.html). Again, I'm surprised and disappointed with Dr. Agus for so easily contradicting himself by picturing the human body as a complex system and then claiming that he knows that the effect of tampering with the body's natural production of cholesterol by the liver is a good "healthy" move. Didn't Murray Gell-Mann explain to him what "complex system" means?

I have no medical background and I have not read the book yet. But I find it hard to believe that preventing inflammation will reduce cancer. Does that mean that women not having menstrual periods will lower their chances of "cancering"

In 2010, a highly critical assessment of the Jupiter study was published in the Archives of Internal Medicine. The study, by de Lorgeril et al., had this to say in its Abstract and Conclusion: "RESULTS: The trial was flawed. wikipedia

On average, aspirin helps only about two people for every one harmed. The balance is unfavorable enough that European cardiologists don't recommend preventive aspirin for otherwise healthy people. Harvard Health

I hope Dr Clueless has been paying attention to one of the very few good things to come out of the Sars CoV-2 pandemic, and learned what is really going on. All of the recent studies legitimizing the hypothesis that healthy Vitamin D status is essential for a strong and effective immune response to pathogens. In this talk with Connie, he is the poster boy for someone who knows just enough to be dangerous. He is cherry picking questionable studies to support his Pharmaco biased view on Sickcare instead of a nutrition based approach to Healthcare.

i don't agree with much of what this dr recommends, but inflammation has long been associated with the development of cancer. and pretty much everything else in fact.

Connie needs to let the man finish what he's saying and guit interupting him. Also needs to ask intellectual questions and quit repeating some of the things he's trying to explain but can't because she doesn't understand. She would understand if she would let him finish his sentence.

oterenceo People aren't condemning blindly. I'm a neurosurgeon and I can say with certainty that David Agus is a fraudulent person who works for the goals of those in the uppermost echelons of society. Look into the company he founded, Navigenics, and its extremely questionable ethics and practices. Also, he's just a prostate specialist, ffs. Probably a eugenics loving Zionist as well. He IS a wealthy, mainstream media promoted Jewish male after all. Also, it's interesting that David Agus and Connie Chung are actually family. He's married to Amy Joyce Povich, who's stepmother is?.... Connie Chung. Zionists LOVE to keep it in the family.

Are you kidding me????? Statin drugs are terrible for you. What kind of a doctor recommends taking statin drugs without a diagnosis?? This is a terrible video, you should be assumed to be a doctor. There has not even been a one percent change in heart disease since Lipitor was introduced. Very sad.
