For all my midwesterners out there: the strawberry rhubarb smash (inspired by your strawberry basil smash): muddle half lemon and two large strawberries, add 1 oz rhubarb-infused simple syrup (1:1 sugar/water), 2 oz gin. Shake and double strain over large block ice (don't want to lose that tartness too soon). Might try a mint garnish but didn't have any on hand. Also tried with rum as base but preferred the gin.

Terrific video, I'll be trying some of these out soon. I make a similar one to the first, but use honey syrup instead of maple, and also add some rhubarb bitters and sage garnish. It's a recipe I got from a jazz club I've played at, one of their signature cocktails. These are all great for summertime with fresh herbs growing in the garden.

I love all of these Anders. Sage also goes really well with apricots and Applejack. Happy weekend

Anders, I loved the rum strawberry basil smash. I swapped out the Demerara syrup for a home made kiwi fruit syrup which produced an even funkier/fruity cocktail. Truly a delight, thanks for your genius 😊 🍓 🥝 🍹

I liked this one because not only does it show you how to make 4 nice smashed but also gives you the template for creating your own.
