Sorry about some of the poor audio, it was so wet at times, I couldn't use my external microphone.

I’m from New Mexico, USA; been driving a 1968 Series IIA 88 since 1987; I live in the southern end of the Sangre de Cristo Range of the southern Rocky Mountains and our 88 had taken us to 11,000 foot mountain tops, pulled a 13 foot travel trailer ( caravan to you mate) for years on a once a year 100 mile pilgrimage with my youngest son, then 5 through 10 years old! Your videos bring back those simple, four speed noisy transmission noises and smell of motor oil and gear lube memoirs that will live in my heart till I drive off into the sunset in my Series Landrover ! Thank you for the memories, my friends!

wow this looks so much like home in wild, wet, windy, and wonderful Western Patagonia... where we also used to go around in a Series II... same forests, same trees, same plants, same rain, same kind of road, I only miss the volcanoes... NZ is truly our "other self"! this short episode brought back many memories, I would love to own a Series I or II again: quite unreliable, uncomfortable, with horrible brakes and electric system, but very simple, sturdy and capable as a 4x4 should be! and besides a true classic which has so much charm and pedigree... not like the junk Land Rover builds nowadays! They lost their mind and betrayed us completely with the concept (nobody said form could not change) of the new Defender, bringing to life an overpriced SUV with ridiculous 4x4 features and the same unreliability we knew for ages... Today I would not doubt a second and get me a Toyota 70-Series!!!! greetings from Chile

The best part is...these are mostly stock, normal 4x4s. The type of cars most 4WD owners have. And you are doing great things with them, instead of going all Genghis Khan with mods.

Top stuff, thanks for showing us around your space. I’ve done a lot of miles in the Victorian High Country in an old Series3, and am just itching to do some more in my 2a from this coming spring. Your clips are just the right motivation to get the brakes fixed, and the canvas on.
