Iowa vs Penn State Highlights (Penn State vs Iowa) | 2021 College Football Highlights. Iowa and Penn State played in Week 6 of the 2021 College Football Season.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for a place that can educate you with commentary on top of high quality edits, this is the place for you! I’ve covered Baseball (MLB, NCAA, LLWS), Football (NFL, NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), Softball (NCAA), and much more!
I make my videos on the HP Spectre x360. I use Adobe Premiere Rush to edit, which allows me to commentate and efficiently splice up clips in a high quality way.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

also a key thing to remember for this game is iowa had 22 recruits at the game. 10 i believe were 4 stars and above including two 5 stars. that stadium was loud and electric believe me i was there. this could be a semi turning point for iowa when it comes to recruiting. obviously the offense still isn’t OSU level or Alabama BUT offense isn’t the only thing that can win games along with the fact that turnovers amp that kinnick stadium up so much especially this year it’s insane. the starting safety for iowa (can’t spell his last name so not even gonna try lol) said that many times the communication between the iowa defense was difficult because of how loud the stadium was (especially in the 4th quarter when you could just feel the comeback was happening).

What is even crazier is the fact that the QB misses 2 wide-open players in the middle of the field for the 1st down on that same play. These comments regarding how Iowa didn't win the game but rather psu lost the game are not very smart. The play in question where Clifford got knocked out, psu sent 5 out on routes. This left an empty backfield and no protection against a blitz from Iowa. psu had been driving up the field putting 5 out on routes and leaving their qb vulnerable versus keeping a tailback or TE to help with the pass rush. psu decided they had to send 5 out on routes to try and be productive against Iowa's def. This strategy made for a good offensive showing, for at least a while, but left them vulnerable to getting their qb knocked out. psu's strategy was dumb considering the drop off in talent to their back up qb. Obviously they felt like they had to take this gamble, which didn't pay off. If psu keeps a rb or te back to help with the pass rush then it may have been very possible they would not have had as much offensive success.

Just because PSU didn't protect their QB on a few plays does not change the fact that with Clifford they were beating you pretty badly. Iowa is going to get exposed for the fraud they are eventually, it just might take the B1GCG to do it because their schedule is a cakewalk.

People claiming that there wasn't a significant drop in their offensive production after the injury with Taquan in the game are delusional or were watching a completely different game than I was. The dude went 7/21 for 38 yds! His accuracy, decision making, route progressions were abysmally worse than Clifford. He missed wide open PSU players on multiple plays, and Iowa still barely escaped with a win. I'm glad Iowa won (as a Pitt fan), but let's not live in the land of make-believe and pretend PSU doesn't do drastically better if Clifford is healthy. And, no, throwing a couple picks early does not guarantee he throws 2 more picks later in the game.

It's an old cliche to say your "better" team lost to a lesser "lucky" team... Part of cognitive dissonance, yet this usually passes after the "better" team suffers a few more losses. - As for this game, it went exactly to Iowa's game plan. The Hawkeyes don't try to come out and run over other teams every possession, like most good teams try to do. They don't seek to dominate the score. Instead they hold their cards closely, and watch the other teams schemes - honing in on opponents as they become over-confidence because of a few good possessions. Then they draw in the other team by offering some "weak spots" and create opportunities by closing these. The opponents, still trying to dominate, keep going for the same spots. This leads to broken plays, big Iowa plays, and mass turnovers as opponents panic in the tightening web. No matter the variations, this was going to be a close game, because Iowa plays to make it close. Don't blame it on a change in QB. Three top 20 ranked QBs were benched, in 5 previous games, once they were caught in Iowa's web. The second half is Iowa's time. They don't seek to blowout (Maryland was due to the Terps simply quitting) and are happy to walk off with a 1 point win - this does not mean they aren't Very Good. They just aren't seeking to dominate, they are seeking to win.
