The segment about the accessibility of the restaurant was a nice touch. As a wheelchair user, I really appreciate that.

I know how you feel. I used to work at a pizza hut when I was young whos only bathrooms where down a long flight of stairs. The owners really wanted to move the bathrooms up stairs but the store just wasn't making enough to do a massive renovation like that. 99% of the people that came in with mobility issues were cool with it. One asshole (we think he went around looking for issues like this for a cash grab.) threatened to sue the store.

For more context....the building was old enough to the point where it was grandfathered in and immune to the disabilities act.

@@JonGee420 be that as it may, the only bathrooms being down a flight of stairs would be a dealbreaker for a lot of disabled people, myself included.

I came to say the same thing. 30 years after ADA and we still have excuses instead of accessibility. This was so touching, I dream of going to Tokyo even more now just so I can go to Talara.

It’s super cool to see how concerned that owner was about everyone being able to enjoy his restaurant. That really shows so much of his character. His food and restaurant looked amazing as well. All the food and restaurants were of course beautiful and looked so delicious! Well done!

The thing I really appreciate about your content is that you always go out of your way to try out all kinds of foods from all kinds of neighborhoods/places, even ones that are less 'typical'. All these restaurants look absolutely delightful and that sushi one looked SO fresh!! Also that Talara owner seems like such a kind and considerate person, trying his best to make everyone feel included. When I travel to Japan again I will definitely be trying these out and say I know them through you guys! :)

Interesting that the sushi is made without sugar. My mom wants to try it when she is back in Tokyo. She's never been to Nihonbashi. I've been there a couple of times but don't go there often. The unagi restaurant looks beautiful!!! The unagi looks good as well. The third restaurant so good to see that if you have a disability they will help you enter. the food looks amazing. It really has an izakaya atmosphere but with interesting dishes.

I looove how Satoshi describes his food, “the crab flavor becomes a very good friend of cabbage 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣” It goes without saying Shinichi is also very good, it is just that sometimes Satoshi’s description is unique and hilarious without intending to be, ha ha ha.😋.
