4 Most Rare Pickup Trucks Made By Ford! You Probably Didn't Know!
Explore four unique and fascinating Ford vehicles that each tell a story of innovation, rarity, and passion. In this engaging video, we delve into the tales of the Ford Durango, the Ford Bantam, the Ford Pampa, and the incredibly rare 1967 Ford Mercury M-250 Crew Cab.
The Ford Durango, a limited-edition coupe utility vehicle produced between 1979 and 1982, showcases Ford's bold attempt to create a vehicle that blended the comfort of a car with the utility of a truck. Discover how this unique vehicle, developed in collaboration with National Coach Works, emerged as a response to the Chevrolet El Camino, and why it remains one of Ford's most mysterious projects with possibly less than 212 units ever made.
Next, we shift gears to South Africa with the Ford Bantam, a compact pickup truck beloved for its versatility and efficiency. Learn about the evolution of the Bantam through its three iterations, from its inception in 1983 to its discontinuation in 2011, and how it catered to the unique demands of the South African market.
The journey continues in Brazil with the Ford Pampa, a coupe utility pickup that became Brazil's top-selling vehicle in its category for several years. The Pampa's design, inspired by American-style pickups and based on the Ford Corcel and Del Rey, offered a robust solution for those requiring a vehicle capable of heavy loads without sacrificing comfort.
Finally, we spotlight the exceedingly rare 1967 Ford Mercury M-250 Crew Cab, one of only six ever made. Dive into the captivating restoration story of this Canadian automotive treasure, restored by Brad Morrison, and how it stood the test of time and distance to be crowned Best Crew Cab of 2023.

The Durango, being built on the Fairmont, is a Fox platform “truck”. Yes, the same fox platform that the famed Fox Mustang’s. I’d love to have one

When I was a kid, I had a Ford Durango Hot Wheels. In the bed of the Truck it carried two dirt bikes. How cool was that!

Does the Canadian market have anything "different" these days? In line with say.. that M-Line of trucks? I think there was a difference from Comets anda couple others. Maybe the Crown Vics or sumpin?

What about the 2014 Ford F150 Tremor? There were only 2025 FX4 and 1016 FX2 versions produced. They were considered a sport truck as the Lightning was gone at the time.

It sucks it was ecoboost only. I was working at Ford at the time and wished it was lowered, had more body mods, and a coyote option. Either way, I enjoyed my Tremor for the little time I had it as a company vehicle.

Here in Brazil, the Ford Pampa is not that rare, the only version that is rare is the AWD version and the wagon version with AWD and used a Volkswagen engine called AP because at the time Volkswagen and Ford were in a partnership

The 18 to 1 compression is due to the fact the engine is a diesel.

3:42 Compression ratio of 18.0 to 1? They must have 105 octane gas available. That would make that little thing scoot!.

It's 18 to 1 because it's a diesel. diesels are a compression ignition engine and they require a high comp ratio.

The TDI on the cam cover was a dead giveaway. The "D" signifies a deisel

I'm sorry but the ford Bantam has as eighteen eighteen 2 to 1 Compression ratio I don't don't See it just making a little over 70 horsepower. I mean that kind of depression. It's right up there with super charged or or Turbo. Numbers I think that it's a misbread or something.
