My biggest mistake was trying to be friends with everyone. Some people don't deserve your attention.

My biggest mistake so far was trying to take on way too many things at once instead of focusing 1-3 things at a time

Imagine actually persuing a hobby instead of entertaining the idea for weeks but doing nothing at the end...

A someone in my late 20s, my biggest regret is thinking that I was “tough enough” to “white knuckle” through tough situations that were bigger than was reasonable for me to expect to handle. I thought I was “strong” enough that mental health issues wouldn’t affect me, but I learned the hard way that that’s not how psychology works. Taking care of yourself isn’t weakness - it is strength, which allows you to set boundaries which actually allow you to be the person you want to be

I like the idea of looking at time spent mindlessly scrolling on the phone as wasting in scattered bits the time we could spend enjoying with our friends... that's bound to bring things into the right perspective.

This really hit me - I haven't taken a week off since 1988 - that's before you were born! I've followed your channel for a few years now, and have great respect for your content. That said, this really hit me when you said you age, and I adjusted my perspective. Started my business, and this is all I've done since. Maybe time to evaluate some decisions!! Thank you!

I worked 70 hours a week from 22-23 years old. I then took all of that money and dumped it into a car because fast and the furious. I then blew the engine, replaced it and sold the car.

Your point about having a heap of less committed hobbies is SOO relatable for me. I need to learn to commit to them, which I suck at.

About the "sticking to hobbies" long enough: my father super sticked to hobbies to an almost professional level. And THAT is one of his biggest regrets from 20 to 50. He also tends to obsess about work (as you, Frank) and he reported noticing he had not really enjoyed due to falling into a performance-work-like mentality.

Happy late birthday my dude, I've been following you for a quite a few years. Feels good to see you grow and also see that you are still so passionate. Even though you have made changes, at the base of it all you still are the same good old creative and awesome human you are. Stay awesome my dude, and enjoy your next decade of life. 👍🏾
