The thing I hate the most is when the dumb sims won't use every lane in a road and just pile up in a single f*cking lane. Regardless if you have 3 lanes dedicated on going right or left, they'll pile up in a single road going right or left. Lol.

I would dezone the residentials and zone every other tile with a 1 tile wide, max length residential zones, so the houses are all these tiny little boxes. After all the zoned places are built, I'll zone the rest of the alternated zones.

I gotta be completely honest, I was watching this on my second monitor whilst playing. This video reminded me to check my auto-save settings to realize I don't have it enabled. Thank you for saving my ass!

I disabled autosaving a while ago because it kept crashing my game and resetting all my progress because of too many mods, i purged all my mods recently, but i forgot to reeanble it, thanks my guy

When a car cuts over 20 lanes of traffic

Crash. Traffic AI stupudity. Mods wont work. Terrain changes when placong roads or buildings. When there are 30 garbage trucks/coroners/buses/trains/metros/monorails in a row. City traffic is 50% ambulances. And many more

Jesperado build train cargo station or a cargo boats station it helps a lot, and build more industry.

The perfectionist: A person who makes sure every little thing in their town is the best it can be by checking every single detail over and over and over again until it's 99.9% the way they want it but never close enough.

I generally destroy the complain guy's house and make a crematorium instead

1) when you lose haft of the population in your city all because you did one mistake and you can't fix it 2) when you have a huge traffic and you only have one road line 3) when you go get a drink or something and you leave the game running, then you come back and you see everything abandoned 4) when you forget to connect the water pipe's to your city and then everything get's abandoned 5) when you forget to connect electricity to your city and then everything get's abandoned

@@skeletalgamer1013 in vanilla you change roads. Dirt is 30, small roads are 40, medium roads are 50, large roads are 60, highway ramps are 90, and highway roads are 100.

Maybe you have subscribed too many assets in WorkShop and have no enough RAM. To use more than 800 assets (not a lot of mods, props... indeed) you need at less 16GB. This is the only game that need such amount of RAM if you use assets. I have 16GB and no crashes BUT with every update buildings and roads and other things disappear randomly making my cities unplayable... And again and again I have to start from scratch a new city. Frustrating.

I absolutely died at the part starting at 2:24. It seems like that path should connect really easily, and as you go through every possible position, it just starts to feel like the game is screwing with you. This has happened to me sooo many times! XD

What I've hated is building out the starting area, getting it profitable etc, then when I expand the city by purchasing another area and fleshing out the road layout suddenly income drops faster than terminal velocity....

What I hate is when all the traffic crams into one lane on the highway.

Just make another landfill and hit the empty button on the original landfill. At %1 full it won't take long at all!

Fire Helicopters - stupidly useless, slow and expensive. I had a thunderstorm once in my city, and the large radio tower caught fire. It completely burned down; because not only those helicopters start off their helipads with no water (why the hell did you need water pipes then), but they also completely missed the tower, spilling water all over the place. At least rescue helicopters are good, allowing you to rebuild destroyed remote buildings.

In natural disasters use the building collapse on the garbage dumps and the cemetery to get rid of them you don't have to wait for them to empty

we need MOAR of these! ps: if you have disaster DLC you can put a collapse on the non-empty landfill, so it gets destroyed but do not repair, then you can remove it without having to empty it first.

one of the most annoying things in this game is that apparently to level up a factory i need to build more services. ive already got a fire station and a police station. hell, ive even got a hospital. does it expect me to build a university for all the rats to be educated or something?

When you destroy your city for fun in an alternate save but then realize it's your normal save

When you see one popup saying ‘This business needs educated workers’ and so you put the budget up and maybe put another school. Then you go to the residential districs, come back one second later and all you see is absolute hell.

I’m pretty sure you can build another landfill and empty the one you want to move into the other landfill, then when it’s empty you can probably move or demolish it

I added a special highway connection to my Industrial area, just to make less traffic in my Residential and Commercial areas. Instead, the trucks choose to go through half of my Residential area, circles around my Commercial area, turns around because it reaches a dead end, goes back the way it came, goes back on the highway, then gets stuck in the traffic because EVERY OTHER GOD DAMN TRUCK DOES THE EXACT SAME THING AND CAUSES PROBLEMS.

Me in a nutshell when I have finally finished my homework after working really hard: Let's start up the game *-- 10 minutes later --* Ahh yes, I hear my town * Game crashes * *_W A T_* Let's load up the game again *-- 10 minutes later --* It should better not crash this time * Game crashes again * Not again!!!!!! Let's try to fix the game *-- 30 minutes later --* It should start now *-- 10 minutes later --* Why is it still loading? *-- Many months later --* IT CRASHED AGAIN!!! *-- One Eternity later --* *_N O T A G A I N ! ! !_* *-- So much later that the old narrator got tired of waiting and they had to hire a new one --* * Game crashes again * * Realizes that school starts in less than an hour * *_F U U U -_*

Cities: Skylines logic. Too dumb to read - can drive cars

One time I had a park that was too popular and was causing huge traffic through a residential area. So I made a dedicated bus route to shuttle people to the park. The cims' pathfinding to get to the bus stop was so bad, they each drove their car 4 laps through the residential neighborhood before they found one of the 2,000 open parking spaces right next to the stop. This traffic completely ground the entire city to a halt, with wall-to-wall backups. I deleted the bus route and now traffic is back to just normal-bad instead of apocalypse-bad. The people in that very nice neighborhood shall just have to deal with it.

When your citizens want more industry despite the industry not having enough workers already

My "favorite" is getting "Slope too steep" when building highway ramps, no matter how long I try to build them. Fine Road Anarchy mod is vital for that.

When you place your pumps in clear blue water and your whole city starts dying from polluted water so you can't tell when water is polluted or not

Another C:S player's pain - fire spreads from tree to tree on distance over 4 units, and fire trucks just ignore them. Got the entire block burnt because of the park in the middle of it.

God damnit, so true. Another one is when you want to have a nice one way system but you then realise you've done the roads ALL the wrong way and it's impossible to leave the area you made the one way system go to (i'm assuming said area was just built for the idea of having said 1 way system)

2:37 the seagull sounds add a nice touch

Trying to build an artificial island, only to murder your entire coastline and end up with a few bits of standing water eternally flooding some poor non-removable landfill.

When your trying to build a road at exactly 120 degrees but it always goes to either 119 degrees or 121 degrees. That has happened to me countless times.
