4 law enforcement officers killed in east Charlotte shooting
Three law enforcement officers serving on a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were killed Monday after being met with “active gunfire” from a suspect inside an east Charlotte home. A total of eight law enforcement officers were shot, including four Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers who were injured. At least one of those CMPD officers is listed in critical condition.
The officers were serving together on a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force when they were shot while confronting a suspect inside a home on Galway Drive. The officers were rushed to the hospital but died as a result of their injuries.
The shooting suspect also died Monday. Two others found inside the home are being questioned by police.
Officials have not released the names of those involved.

To get killed for serving a warrant on someone that is breaking the law. These families without their Fathers ,Husbands,Sons just awful.They won't have too worry about one suspect. Sorry for the Officers and their families.

Does not stop everything. Also once you hit the panels and plates enough times they will not stop rounds as effieciently or at all.

Damn this is awful RIP to the officers. How the hell were the felons able to kill 4 officers killed at one time. No photos of the suspects

Guns dont kill people. People kill people. Dont let this let you think that the gun pointed and shot itself. The dead guy did that. Protect our 2nd Amendment!! So sad that the officers obviously didn't have the proper intel, advice, and/or training... A lot of lives affected.

@levans - Don't assume they didn't have the proper training. They execute these warrants all the time. Taking into account the story your hearing, the circumstances of what/how it happened doesn't give you the right to be critical. Why don't you go and sign up for the job before you start Monday morning quarterbacking and making assumptions. Disgusting.

I would think that if a warrant was being executed that the police would know the name of the person the warrant was being executed on. 99% chance that's the suspect, so they know his/her identity. Let us know.
