Scorpio N got better head room than TS. TS looks like a pro max version of Harrier. mhwak engine is very refined. You get a electric steering unlike safari

I think the first impression between New Safari and Scorpio N goes to Scorpio N... I will buy this compared to the new Safari...

Even it rides better than safari, performance is better than safari, offroad and onroad manners r better than safari, engine is very refined and more silent than safari, clutch and gear shifting is very smooth and better than safari, driving position is very commanding... Sir safari k takkar ki nahi, safari se ek step aage ki chiz hai wo, chala kr dekhiye ek bar

The biggest edge of Tata Safari is that it is available if you book the vehicle and realistically the long waiting period with Mahindra really pisses you off. I recently cancelled my booking of XUV700 AX7L and bought a Tata Safari XZA+. The booking period was upto June, 2023 with XUV700 and Safari was made available in less than a month. So thats the biggest positive that comes with Safari in my opinion.

I have purchased TATA venture gx 8 seater in 2011 only for front face 3rd row.

Scorpio n is beast.. safari will not compete with this mahindra product.

Safari is overpriced by atleast 4 to 5 lacs. Looks and features also need an update. If anyone has a budget of 28 lac or more should go for Toyota Innova or Fortuner. If the budget is under 25 lacs Xuv 700 ax7 ,Scorpio z8l, Hyundai Alcazar Mg Hector plus are better options.

Safari should remove unwanted feature and reduce price.. but technically safari is faaar better than xuv and Scorpio.. Fiat engine, with Hyundai automatic gearbox in land rover derived monocoque chassis...

Xuv 700 is best in this class. Performance is much better then Safari. Safety wise Xuv has 5 star Ncap rating. Xuv 700 Ax 7 diesel is cheaper and has more functions then Safari top model. Scorpio N top model is cheaper by 4 lacs and only thing I did not like was last row seats rest Scorpio will give good fight to Safari. Current Safari is over priced by at least 5 lac as of now. Safari also has to update its features to compete with these new SUVs.

And the result is:- Tata Safari comes in least selling cars many times. Whereas if Mahindra sold 5-6k+ units then they received x2 bookings per month. Even the Old Scorpio sales more than Safari also this is the car which is main reason of discontinuing old Safari.

One MAJOR defficiency. They skipped on the electronic parking brake and auto-hold assist. MAJOR MAJOR MISS. That's the whole point of having an auto-box to not keep fiddling with the stick and shifting it to N and D all the time (to prevent clutch wear).

I think Scorpio N misses out on some essential features that Safari has.. Let me list out the deficiencies. 1) Third row seating 2) Luggage space after folding third row. 3) Immobile second row. 4) Third row AC vent missing 5) Reaching door pockets while door closed. Try reaching out water bottle at the door pocket with door closed ( all doors ). 6) Auto dimming IRVM 7 ) Ventilated seats. 8) Rear Wiper does not clean 180 degrees. It only goes till 120 degrees.. This is great disadvantage in driving in rain. 9) The rear door opening. You need to be very mindful in parking the car so that you can open rear door. Loading luggage in a partial opened rear tail gate is going to be problem. We don't know yet the price of Automatic variants. Maybe the difference in price comes down further. This price is also only for first 25k bookings and we have seen the price was raised considerably in the case of XUV 700 in later months. Last but not the least, we get a discovery sport platform in Safari.

@@TheSafariTraveller I think 5, 8 & 9 are equally important and are deal breakers for many. Imagine you have to stop the car every time the second row passenger wants to drink water from the bottle kept at the door pocket. or the Rear view wiper only wipes partially and you cannot see the rear clearly due to rain & lastly the tail gate opening sideways is a big disadvantage. Since you compared with Safari price being 4 lakhs more than Scorpio N I think the additional features like Panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and having none of the above mentioned deficiencies justifies the price. As I mentioned we still don't know the price of automatic variants.

luggage space is not there in safari as well .. many of the shortcomings you have mentioned are not there in xuv , which actually is the real competitor of safari .. scorpioN does not has any competitor as of now .. pricing wise you cant say anything , even if they increase the price by 5 lakhs it would remain extreme highly value for money ( they are giving it at unbelievable prices to first 25k buyers , and wont increase price by more than 60k ) , xuv 700 price has increased just around 2.5 lakhs in 1 year which is totally justified , it happens with every car

there is no hill assist in lower version which Safari has

3rd ro ke mamle pahle wala scorpio hi thi tha kul mila ke s11 best hi. Scorpio ek brand tha.....

4x4 and comfort at same time like altrus, endeavour. If you really need 4x4 then it make sense else safari and xuv700.

@@nilimarya1627 bhai kya matlab uska.road achha hai to koi advantage nahi. Aur India me sabhi jagah road achhe ho gayein hai.scorpio 4x4 ke liye Jo testing track khoja wo bhi sahi nahi mila. 2wd asani se nikal jaye. Scorpio se rwd aur 4x4 nikal ke socho ki safari aur xuv 700 se compete kar payega.

Safari should bring in 4x4 & then safari will be greater than Scorpio! I like safari & was waiting for 4x4 from them. But I think now, God willing, I will go for Scorpio 4x4

In the month of april march, xuv700 was selling 6074 units and 5052 units where safari sold just 2428 and infact the sales figures of safari is not even close to 3 K and are even less than the current Scorpio s11!!!! So Mahindra's SUV are clearly dominating over safari🔥

Xuv700 is sold in both petrol and diesel, whereas Safari only diesel. So there is some advantage to xuv700. Both brands can coexist in market, MG hector already affected by xuv700 and now it will be hit hard by new Scorpio. I personally don't like hector looks.

Earlier I preferred to take Safari now I have booked Scorpio N on introductory price. In my opinion both vehicles rear looks are not great at all.

Safari koi bhi angle se 4 lakh extra justify nahi karti hai. Safari and harrier although got good looks but they are not real suv's rather i would say they are crossover with no rear wheel drive and also forget about the 4x4.

Tata Safari always wins comment section only but in real life scenerio it is not. Current Tata Safari sold because of Mahindra XUV700, The buyers who cant wait for 1 year bought Safari otherwise everyone's First Choice is XUV700. Also whenever Mahindra launch Scorpio with any new update it affects Tata Safari very badly and sales of Safari decreased which caused Discontinuing Safari.

Gone are those days,Tata safari sells due to xuv is a myth..It was launched 6 months before xuv,rather it sells more than xuv (diesel ) ,if u look at combined harrier - safari sales,comparing diesel only models. tata safari platform is Land Rover derived and design is fresh from sketch ,way too refined vehicle ,unlike copying Volvo ( ScorpioN tail section) ,Mercedes( xuv700 interior) etc.look at nexon ,many so called auto experts wrote it off initially going by legacy baggage old gen Tata cars carried . Nexon is now ruling the market segment .Only bcoz of uniqueness it offers,not copy cat.

And according to Tata motors Harrier and Safari both are different cars. Also if you see sales feagures of XUV700 then 85% people choose its diesel variants and this variants sales more than Safari. Also before launching of XUV700 tata safari monthly sales is only arount 1500-1700 units. Even old Tata Safari is also one of the most flop car in Indian Automobile Industry. Tata Harrier and Safari derived from land rover because they bought JLR. Same Mahindra bought SsangYong. The old model of Mahindra Scorpio sales more than combined sales of Harrier+Safari. After knowing its new generation coming soon. Even the owners of Safari says that they bought safari because of waiting period of XUV700. Many times Safari comes in least selling after lots of fan base. While XUV700 launch 6 months after Safari and still sales more than Harrier and Safari. According to you ScorpioN tail light copied from Volvo. Then Safari & Harrier DRL copied from Renault Kwid and Triber. If you talk about Nexon, Punch then they are best in Segment, but in terms of Big SUV's Mahindra is best.

Scorpion has better engine, better performance. That's it. For long term use and long trips I will always consider safari/harrier simply because of its better mileage. Unlike rich spoilt brats, I don't have the luxury of being satisfied only with performance. It's my money. With ever increasing diesel price, I will opt for better mileage. Safari/Harrier hits the sweet spot of better mileage and ADEQUATE performance.

For a long term reliability perspective I will put my money on Fiat Engine over MHawk. Just a personal opinion. Having said that it is a proud feeling to see an Indian company design and create engine with MHawk.

@@TheSafariTraveller agreed. In any case, multijet diesel engines are an advancement over crdi engines. Multijet engines will by nature be long lasting. At least by theory.

Safari is safari. Safari already fight with XUV700. If somebody loves Safari , then I think they will buy it. Because when you have XUV700, Jeep Meridian, Hector plus and still people love safari, then I don't think Scorpio N will not attract them. Safari looks is killing. Mileage is great, Build structure great. Then why oldy style Scorpio N? I think Scorpio customer and XUV700 customers( who only buy mahindra car) may move to Scorpio N. Only problem in Safari is unavailability of Petrol engine. That actually loose many Safari and Harrier customers.

I don't like the luk of Tata safari same as Harrier, old safari luk was far gud in luks.

I've been following the Scorpio[ N ]/Tata Safari reviews for a while, and felt this to be the most precise of the lot .. Looks wise: T S looks way better than the MS; MS has a decent front and side but an ugly and over-ambitious rear, which is a real downer .. To me, the Tata Harrier still remains the most good looking SUV from an Indian manufacturer; koi shakh??

I saw the Scorpio N in the roads and felt safari is far better in looks. Same of my friends. If you want luxury then safari is the best. Scorpio N is a rugged vehicle. Features are known to everyone. I don’t want to compare.

Tata safari walo ko dusro ki infotainment screen ke baare me baat nhi krni chahiye😅😅 just joking. Hote tata improves it soon
