The cans trick is so cool. Thanks. I have a great stain remover. Use a teaspoon of baking soda, a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and a teaspoon of blue Dawn dish soap. Make a paste and if needed, add a tiny bit more of hydrogen peroxide. Rub on top of stain and allow to sit for 20 minutes and wash as usual.

The person complaining about you wasting water,is probably a litter bug. People tend to be hypocrites. Water is wasted everyday by cleaning,water slides,& so forth. I wouldn't pay much mind to those that go around complaining about how other people live..you live your life♡

Instead of "wasting the water" just use it to make your coffee!
