Large folders are a favorite of mine. I have a cold steel broken skull as well as a Benchmade 391. I wanna pick up a Spyderco military, now that it has a compression lock.

Blades four inches & more are great for self defense and EDC task of all types so that's what I usually try to buy blades 4" and longer. Cold Steel tends to have some of the very best that's 4" or more blade length. 😊

Congrats on 1k subs! You deserve so many more. I love that you make videos about knives you've really used and have formed genuine opinions about, instead of just showing all the latest knife shovelware. It's unbelievable how rare that is now.

Thank you. I don´t really focus on getting subscribers, nor will i be able to upload videos as regulary as lately, but we will see how it all works out. Yeah, usually if you have a couple thousand subs, companies will reach out to you and send you stuff for free, that´s the crossroad where you can decide between more subs or better reviews. Some mangage to do both, it´s difficult though. It´s much harder now to get money from YT than it used to be, so you have to rely on sponsors, and than you have to do advertisments for them and all that shit. we will see. Definetely will let you guys now as soon as this channel makes any profit and what i do with it. Prpbly buy knives 😄haha

@@megaronknives3032 I've watched so many channels start off great, only to become a Kizer or Civivi infomercial as soon as the opportunity arises. I've actually made a bit of a hobby out of watching channels speedrun to shill status. It's part of the reason why so many great knives have so few, if any, videos on KZread. Edit: I've made a few videos for my other account, but on genuinely good knives I can talk for 45 minutes about what makes the stop pin location, or flipper tab shape/placement special, or go on for an hour about good vs bad lock geometry. I just end up feeling regarded and immediately pulling the video. Im gonna start doing shorts of the knives I have that aren't on KZread at all, so at least theyre out there for someone to see if they want to.

Great video Lukasz! I got a bit surprised when you claimed to actually carry this knives in Germany. I live in Spain and I also know that most other UE countries have quite strict regulations about knife carry, where you always risk the police taking the knife away if not a straight up fine. On a different subject, I really think this long-ish videos where you compare a lot of different knives are great and have become the "bread and butter" of your channel. These type of videos allow you take the proper time to touch upon a lot of points and that, in turn, leads to very thought out reflections and expand a lot on the hobby. Congratulations on reaching 1000 subs and I hope the channel continues to grow!

Right, like he said we have the blessing of being able to carry almost everything in terms of knives. Although i tend to ignore German knife laws when i am over there anyways 😅. Thank you, will keep that in mind, it will probably be a mixure of short and long videos. Thank for stopping by, good Sir.

Very good. I have a lot of these, could not have said it better. My fav blade shape is the BM 710. It's just to bad I have it in M390. My only BM with poor heat treatment.

My 761 in M390 was probably the best* heat treated 20cv/M390 I've ever experienced. My Anthem is probably the worst, though. I keep trying to like BM, but it's hard. I'll definitely be getting one of the new 710s, in S90V though. Edit: *until my 20cv Subvert. It just won't go dull. Pretty impressive.

You are correct in that the Spyderco Police Lightweight is more comfortable and/or ergonomic...I have noticed that Spyderco G10 versions seem to be a more solid knife in that they stay centered with less blade flex at the pivot. The G10 back lock spring also has retained its strength while my lightweights has softened in time.

Great thoughts, i agree. About locks, i prefer a good liner lock. I know it isnt strong but it doesent hide behind it. it isa what it is. I terms of strong locks. Back locks are the only ones to be really strong and of course the tri ad lock is the absolut best and strongest. All other locks are very weak. I have had Striders, Sebenzas and ZTs fail on me with very little presure. Fun and good for EDC, but they rerally sucks when it comes to real work.

it´s of course always the question what you do with it. i am fine with a liner/framelock most of the time. Had a bad injury with a failing linerlock though one time.

Discontinued knives... ahh there’s so many beautiful blades been “lost” through the years. Is there any knives you regret not buying back in time? Because I know for sure, if I could pick ANY knife ever produced, that would be Benchmade Bedlam!

yeah there are a few ones. Spyderco Ulize and Large Chinese Lum, Benchmade 710 and the Sog Agency and Sog Spec Elite II, to name just a few ones. BM Bedlam is a great one too.
