I went back and looked at the round where he beats the 9 true damage. I think it is definitely a Jeweled Lotus dif. He got some major crits, and that is what won the round. This was a fun game.

I know mort doesn’t use cheats but hearing him say “hyper pop lulu” or “jeweled lotus” and it appearing in his shop magically doesn’t help the allegations Edit: AND HE HITS THE ZIGGS THAT EARLY NAH HE HAS THE CODES ON HIS OTHER MONITOR

wouldn't the blitz disco heal/attackspeed highly outscale the "just" 75hp of the 3cost morde? also you totally missed the awesome hyper-disco remix music because of it... (also again an unofficial Heartsteel game... mort should have gotten the Heartsteel logo as tatoo at that point...)

It's 75 health on every unit on the board so it's more value than just disco. Arguably he could have added a blitz/Nami over the Lulu but he was strong enough anyways

this new hyperpop is fun

can somebody explain to me the Ekko yone placement here? Ive seen mort do it in a couple games, why does he sometimes place a pair of units near the back of the board? is that just to guarantee they engage after the tanks have all been occupied?

assuming the akali headliner is true damage it was 9 true damage, and if you look back at the actual fight only lillia, kennen and qiyana aren't 2 star

So that comment about the "Switching Gears" augment. Doesn't the change to win/loss streaks heavily nerf that augment? Doesn't that justify a change to keep it viable?

@@randx1075 sometimes you get big heartsteel cashouts with lots of items, removers, reforgers, etc. and at the same time you just want sell/pivot into other units. Your slot becomes full, all important items stay on the ground, etc. Not for just this specific example, but also many other item/unit pivots that you have to do pretty quick. I think that as well, it would be nice to sell or maybe put on top of each other so that each remover and reforger takes just one slot. It would be nice

Lots of plat players still forcers that need to learn. Meanwhile in top 50 challenger some people hardforce comps 80% of games

9 true damage isn't that strong though, usually it's scraped together without upgraded units, i cleared 9 true damage easy on 13.24 with the ahri comp, would like to check the stats of the new hyperpop trait after launch

why doesnt he sell the 1* lulu to transfer the items? lulu uncontested - it it that expensive to find one more in average?

Idk if the guy was spamming but being a director in this game he kinda feels like he doesn't want anybody's nose in his work so it's not only about spamming imo. While i was watching this game i was thinking about the guy he banned then i said all right Mort is the boss here. Then he nearly called a random player sob @ 6:27. It was super uncool.

I’m not going to defend everything Mort has done but he is one of, if not the most open game dev resource for any game. The man fields thousands of questions about the game mechanics and design every stream and makes dedicated content to go into further detail about decisions made behind the scenes. That said, since he is so accessible to the public, he also has to answer the same questions/hear the same complaints over and over again, some of which are kind of ridiculous (like the inconsistency question in this video). While this doesn’t excuse him from his responses, it at least provides more understanding for why he (and any other human) can end up getting frustrated at times.

I am weird plat player ..... I always force one of the three to four comps I like most of the time none of them are "Meta" . Just comps around champs I like . ( closest to meta with what I like I get with annie reroll + 5 KDA )
