Nice to see a flathead, been scarce lately in my neck of the woods on the Ohio River. I caught my 3rd flathead of the year last Saturday, just something about those critters I can't get enough of. Great vids as per usual brother.

The 3:00 am hot thing is most likely high humidity in the house from the A/C not running enough at night. If you have a programmable thermostat set it to cool 1 degree cooler at 2:30 am so it kicks on and removes the extra humidity. Set it back up 1 degree around 9 or 10 am to put it back where you normally set it. Bet it helps.

Man i went out scouting a new little lake near my house, only brought one big cat setup and one bait catching rig , in process of setting up my bait catcher rod, it slipped off the side of my yack. All i could so was watch it go down in 30 ft of water. Made me sick ,it was my brother's rod that passed away a 2 years ago ,i almost cried. Went home ,didnt have no bait and that big rig wouldn't help me

I need to find some skipjack bad. Wattsbar and Fort Loudon both have not treated me well on the skips this year.

Justin, I haven't seen anyone use a fly trailer on their rig before you. Do you feel that you benefit with this setup compared to just a straight carolina rig.

Went halibut fishing and their favorite bait was salmon heads. Our captain who is also a fish biologist said that the head and specifically the brains of the salmon had more nutrition than the other parts of the salmon. Maybe that’s why cats like skipjack heads

I use heavy leaders for the abrasion resistance. I don’t know any catfishermen who use leaders that are lighter than their main line.
