    Forgiveness in Christ does NOT mean freedom from proper judgement. Admitting to / or getting caught in the act (four years) of the FELONY of child molestation in no way dismisses the need for civil punishment. "Retiring" from the pulpit is NOT civil justice. Apologizing is not civil justice. At a minimum, RM and all his family should lose all $$$ claims to GATEWAY, KINGS COLLEGE, future PUBLISHING, real and personal properties. Their empire has been built on a lie and they should be stopped from the continuation of ill gotten gain. Congregation members have a responsibility to withhold their money from the church until RM and his family are truly separated from ALL association with Gateway and their side hustles. $$$ is the true god that RM bends a knee to.

    House Bill 3809 now permits victims to file their civil sexual abuse lawsuit 30 years after their 18th birthday. The act became effective on September. 1, 2019. This means that victims have until they reach 48 years old to file their lawsuit. Victims now have much more time to file their lawsuits and hold their alleged abusers accountable.

  • @JulieLivingood

    @JulieLivingood

    That's great that victims now have until they are 48 to sue. However, I personally think there should be NO time limit. Recovering from sexual abuse in childhood has no limits. Victims live with it for the rest of their lives. A date (year) cannot be assigned to the point at which a victim feels safe enough to have a voice. I am 60 years old and JUST NOW feel safe enough to even think about going public with what happened to me.

    He should not have been a senior pastor of any church. But with that said. God is the one who can change a person from a sinner to a newborn child of God. The Bible teaches that when one is born again, the old flesh is dead, and that person is a new creation. God throws our sin into the sea of forgetfulness. But people (creation) will judge and crucify a person for a sin committed decades past, while they themselves are sinners. With that said. If a person is continuing to commit grievous sins and are calling themselves a Christian or being a pastor, then they must be punished. If that person did truly repented of their sins and have not committed heinous sins for decades. Then we as the body of christ have a duty to forgive and lift such brother or sister up. Just my 2 cents.

    The lawfirm, Haynes and Boone, doing the "outside" investigation is a major league firm. One of their areas of practice is crisis management. A major aspect of crisis management is to minimize damage to the client's brand. It's reasonable to believe these resignations were done under the advisement of Haynes and Boone. These resignation coming so quickly are cause to believe there's something Haynes abd Boone discovered near the surface. Getting ahead of bad news is part of professional crisis management. @@caroletta451 I think they will all move away to other locations. James will start another church somewhere else. Robert Morris is not going to be back on television. I can't say for certain whether he will ever have any small scale ministry in the future like the small scale ministry that Todd Bentley has now. The 12 year old factor creates an unprecedented situation in comparison to previous high-profile moral failings. Ted Haggard did manage to get back into ministry even after falling into rather unconventional sin, but the ministry he has had has been a minor shadow of what he used to have. That is the most that Robert Morris could hope for.

    Who r u speaking to? Who has Morris harmed or allegedly harmed if you prefer put that ways? No outsider needing to forgive him, do you understand the word forgive or not. Do explain if you believe im missing your point Also, fyi when someone is undergoing trauma or prolonged ptsd, it doesnt help to speak to cover only 1 aspect of what may be expected of them without some balance or empathy. Furthermore in Christian terms, the forgiveness he most requires would be the Lord's ultimately and for that, there is forgiveness of sins remorsely confessed for healing and turned away from. How? It is all about dying to self, living a new life of Christ's spirit before God and others. (Cant demand "forgiveness" in any real deep Christian sense without having first demonstrated understanding of crucifying the flesh and raising back a spiritual born again). God is merciful who doesnt reject a contrite heart. That said, acceptance of earthly consequences are not to be under his/your control here is it. Let mercy and justice flow. And kindly dont forget to pray for the other party's healing wholeness regardless of what she decides to do with the case within the law or her human rights. Helps if you can let go bitterness over what's happening

    Why don't you tell your Christian followers the complete truth of Earthly forgiveness. I know because then they don't need you to lead do them do they? Here's the deal with forgiveness the part the receivers of the tithe dont want you to know until your dead. Sure God forgives like any parent who loves unconditionally. However "forgiveness" does not allivate "accountability". Reap what you sow is a universal law that can not be transgressed. Forgiveness on this earthly plane will not save you from being held accountable for your sins when you stand before The Throne. That's the first rule the receivers of the tithe must swear to secrecy

    Do some additional research, Sandra. He and his wife lived with Cindy’s family when the molestation began . It wasn’t a once a year molestation. To date, she has not received any money for the physical and emotional pain and suffering she has endured for years. Shame on you! I hope she sues him for millions. And you want a 12 year old in 1982 to tell her parents that she is going to stay with a friend because Robert Morris is molesting her! Were you ever an innocent 12 year old girl? I’m just shocked that you so called “Christians” don’t show this woman more grace. How could Robert Morris have been forgiven when he’s still lying about what happened and massaging the truth. 35 years ago Robert Morris repented before God, asked the woman's forgiveness, as well as her family's. The Bible says "love covers a multitude of sins," and "forgetting those things which are behind let us press forward." My wife underwent molestation that occurred similar to that of hers, who has forgiven her abuser and walks in freedom today along with many others who suffered similar, because of the healing grace they received through their faith in Jesus and the benefits of his cross. I disbelieve that after 35 years this supposed Christian woman, Cindy, has been unable to move ahead any at all in her life. It's all about money! Think of the damage done to the work of God because of this woman's actions. God's love in a Christian forgives, forgets and covers a multitude of past sins, especially something that has been washed clean by Jesus' shed blood 35 years ago, it doesn't openly expose them to the detriment of countless souls who could be hindered from coming to Christ or left in a state of disillusionment. "The love of money is the root of all evil."
