I love this. Recently been advocating Lakota water due to a tourney I was in recently but here's a copy+paste of a comment I made earlier on reddit: Lakota is actually one of the better civs to go water with due to their Fishing Boats not relying on houses for population like most civs (making them not only effectively cheaper but also harder to shut down by destroying houses). And their Teepees increase wood chopping speed, making the Lakota a little bit better at chopping for Boats than other civs' baseline speed. Teepees also buff Fishing Boat gather rates AND, when upgraded, boat speed and attack range. To top it off, they have this new card "Adoption" which speeds up both Villager and Fishing Boat train time as well as quadrupling xp bounty for training them, and their native Privateer shipments are super overpowered and the new Tribal Marketplace big button buffs that as well as other merc-style shipments (which are generally buffed too). Something I personally love doing lately is shipping the new "Camp Movements" card and migrating my starting TC to an island on a naval map and just going all-in on water while my opponent (who usually rushes at my elo) is left with little capacity on water. Then I can safely reach age 4, train up all the OP age 4 units (whether that's Tokala, or the buffed age 4 Tashunke, or Seven Council Fires infantry, or Mortars + Outlaws + Bandit Gang if there's enough Whales on the map, or whatever) and spread across the land like wildfire.

It's a shame that aoe3 also has the arabia syndrome: the same maps the same exact decks mostly over and over and over a 20 year period Many American civs have neat if situational age ups and cards that make them really shine in certain maps Italy also has a naked fast ff into gondolas for water; now upgrades will also give a boat for free

Wood Upgrade at 3 min seems quite sus, but he made it work. And Lakota best civ for sure, all in for them horseboys!

I feel like if he would have had any age 2 pressure from China, the 4 docks would bite.
