@@strollingthecity Jesus certainly did not “fast like Muslims” as how does a Muslim fast? He gorges himself during the night and starves himself during the day that is not real fasting. Real fasting does not include gorging yourself before the fast, that literally makes the fast completely pointless. Yashua his real name was a messianic Jew not a Muslim your argument is rooted in alternative history. Simply because Islam stole many core tenants from Judaism does not mean Jesus was a Muslim.

What is so amazing is that you only use dead trees and not live ones. You also cook and not take prepackaged foods. You teach how to make a fire using whatever you have available and not matches like weekend warriors. You also show how to seal all your shelters well for maximum warmth. I also saw how to strip the trees of the bark and utilized the soil to make a filler between the wood. It gives a real experience of how to shelter ones self when out in the elements. You take your time in building your shelters so that every piece of wood fits as uniformly as possible. And the best part is the relationship you have with your best friend who is a real comedian. I watch your videos over and over again because I get a sense of peace as if I am there with you. Thank you for your videos and teaching how to survive in the wild.

I miss winter camping. I grew up in northern Minnesota on the farm. The winters were absolutely brutal! Shelter and warmth were my number one priority. Food and water of course. A bow saw and hatchett were my best friend. I can still remember how much time spent cutting all that wood. I would sometimes spend a good week camping. In a blizzard, the snow would pile up a good foot and a half a times. Had to have snow shoes of course. After a blizzard, more than anything, I LOVED how quiet it would get. You felt like you were the only person in the world. There's nothing like it! I would hike out a good 10 miles or so. Winter camping is definitely one of those do or die situations. My mom would always worry about me when I would do so. But I had a wonderful dad who brought me up from day one on how to survive the extremes. Some people here in Colorado freak out on how cold it gets, but they have no idea. I can still remember that 50 to 60 below 0 windchill!

I remember that kind of cold too but none of those memories would make me long to camp in a blizzard. I clicked on this to understand the motivation and you had the best explanation. YES. The silence. And feeling like you're the only one on the planet. Thanks. I get it now. 🙏

Really enjoyed your video! Brings back some wonderful childhood memories. Back when I was a young boy in the late 1950's I would go elk hunting with my dad out of Ukiah, Oregon. Almost always we would set up his old WWII Army tent after dark, by truck lights. Most often it would be snowing. We had an old pot belly stove he left at the spot year round as it was too heavy to move from the truck to the tent and then back to the pickup truck when we left. Usually there were some additional bullet holes in the stove than there was the year previous. Around midnight if all went well we would have the tent set up. Dad lined the bottom with a couple bales of straw for warmth. Once the stove was fired up and the chill was driven out, I would slip down into that warm sleeping bag and minutes later be sound asleep. Yet the moment prior to going to sleep ... listening to the fire cracking in the stove ... and all being peaceful inside that tent: It was one of my most cherished memories as it is still today at near age 75. Nothing like a warm sleeping bag with the smell of straw to give one a nature high! Now getting up to go hunting the next morning? That was the HARDEST thing to do, because the fire in the stove would be out and usually we would be well below freezing outside. Inside the tent wasn't much better. Getting out of that warm sleeping bag and doing our duties before heading out before daybreak to be on our stands ... THAT was NOT fun. Yet at daybreak when the shooting started ... all was forgotten. Now the adrenlin was running high ... waiting for that bull elk to appear.

And what do you think was in those hand-canned jars he had? Fresh cooked prime meat to go on top of the biscuits. And did you miss in this video the huge pork steak he gave his pup? That dog (like the hugely loved GSD that went before him) lives the best life. There wasn't much room to play and the weather outside was awful. Look at his other vids in good weather to see them playing. And did you not notice that pup got the closest spot to the wood stove?
