4 Days Solo Fall Camping in Heavy Rain

I spent 3 Nights at some of Killarney Provincial Parks most beautiful Lakes, Grace Lake, Nellie Lake and Murray Lake. The fall colors were absolutely beautiful but the torrential downpours made this trip quite the adventure

Doing all of those cinematic shots by yourself is absolutely amazing. The amount of work you are doing, like carrying the boat then coming back to take the camera, setting up different angles. I never expected this kind of quality from a free KZread video. Thanks for such a good content 👌

Same here. Childhood trauma had left me prone to anxiety and panic attacks. I managed to finally overcome them and haven't had one in years but last night all the doom and gloom fear mongering got to me and I could feel despair and panic starting to rise up in me again. In desperation I looked for something calming to watch and came across this channel. After a few minutes my panic was gone and the world made sense again, my sense of perspective returned. I wonder if Xander realizes how much more than just entertainment his videos are for so many in these troubled times. Sorry for the long winded reply but I wanted you to know you're not alone. Hang in there, the movie gets better

The production quality on this is phenomenal. I think most people don't realize the attention to detail, like for instance don't realize that he leaves his camera at a spot, shows himself walking away, then walks back to fetch the camera. It's especially insane when he did it for that hill shot when the fog rolled in, he walked a pretty far distance but trekked back to fetch the camera afterwards, or that one shot where he started rowing his raft but then probably had to row back and fetch the camera. It's amazing.

I'm also a small town Ontario boy, grew up watching Les Stroud and was always so fascinated by Ontario's wilderness. I haven't done much exploring myself yet, but next year once my student loans are paid off I am planning on doing some solo trips. I don't have a car so I will need to train/bus up north. Any suggestions on where to go for a beginner to do maybe 3-8 days solo with no canoe? I was considering Lake Superior Park but haven't made up my mind.

Those pictures of you next to famous group of seven pictures, quite literally sitting on the same rock, blew me away. Same exact spot, 100 years ago, largely untouched, that stuff fascinates me. Thanks for an awesome video, subbed!
