    Vojtěch Horák yes but torque is the amount of work whereas hp is the rate at which the work is done 1.5 lbf is really useable for anything except model racing even with gearing

  • @VojtechHorak

    @VojtechHorak

    @@its_robbietime1333 torque is absolutely not the amount of work. Yes, 1.5lbf (please learn metric system) is not really usable, but so is 11000 rpm. With appropriate gearing you can easily double or even quadruple the torque, while getting lower, more usable rpm.

    Yeah and even better with great low and mid-RPM torque being a 4-stroke, like you don't get with a moped engine. I use small single-cyl 4-strokes in my RC model planes and they're great, they have that torque available any time so you can just open the throttle and she hauls away with great thrust. A guy did an epic RC car with the OS IL-300 inline four-cylinder 4-stroke, usually a model plane engine but he put it into the running gear of this car and it's a beautiful, unique RC car that totally hauls. I found the link - kzread.info/dash/bejne/d5hmucmNpJfIhsY.html and this for the engine www.os-engines.co.jp/english/2006autumn/il300.html

    3.2 HP Really ?? Your doing INCREDIBLY well. The Saito 220 Zeus, the MOST powerful single they make is 3.5HP, but they took 36.3cc to achieve that figure. Your TINY little 14cc (.70) managed the SAME approximate power output, and with none of the LOSS all multi cylinder model engines have. INCREDIBLE. Even my OS FF320 Pegasus @ 53.04cc can only achieve 4.5HP. And it's a Boxer 4 pot. These TOYAN engines must be made by F1 engineer's and out of the GREATEST materials man has to offer. I guess that's WHY they cost SO MUCH MONEY for SO LITTLE ENGINE. Calculate the horsepower or CC by multiplying or dividing by 15. The general rule is for every 15 CC there is 1 HP. Somehow, you've gotten hold an engine that NOT ONLY defies the laws of physics and engineering, but also LOGIC and MATHMATICS aswell. ALMOST a FULL 1HP from each of it's tiny 3.5CC pots. That really is AMAZING performance. ON PAR with a Jet engine with an afterburner on 190 octane AVGAS. Damn fine work by the TOYAN designers. Their flow porting must be amazing, and the timing and advance on this must be tuned with such precision, that many a Swiss Watch maker has commited suicide over it...... A TRULY INCREDIBLE engine.........it's a shame the MAKER'S claim a LITTLE less on the power output than you do....in fact, QUITE A LOT less. They only claim an output of 0.5ps Horsepower for this model. And I'm afraid, 0.5ps METRIC HORSEPOWER only translates to 0.49316 Mechanical Horsepower. So your A LITTLE over in your estimations.... I suggest looking at the OTHER ad for this engine, with the REAL power figures on it, not just the ad that has the WAY OVER INFLATED claims on it, THAT page is to TRY to justify such an exorbitant cost for SO VERY LITTLE engine. I nearly DIED when I saw how much they want for this rubbish thing.
