There are different schools of thought on where to place blush. This is just one way. I liked learning this.

you can place your blush higher on the cheekbone as long as you don’t put it on the apples of your cheeks as well. You kinda just have to choose which placement.

I just recently discovered you and now I must say you are one of my favorites! Very soft spoken and sweet and very direct to the point!

You always make makeup application look so easy and natural and perfect! I am not the best at applying blush or bronzer in a way that looks natural, though that is always my intent, and for me bronzer in particular is one of my absolute fave and necessary parts of doing my face that truly make everything come together and make me feel prettiest. I’m guilty of perhaps bringing it up a bit far but never when it’s really pigmented, if that makes sense so it doesn’t come off too harsh. But it’s definitely one of those things that’s easy to over do!! 😂 Great tips as always 😘

Thank You, Sona! I learned that I’m applying my blush the wrong way. I also have blush brushes that are bigger so I need to get yours. I have your blush in Carmel so I’m wondering which one you put on in your video. I thought that I’d be able to tell which one you put on, but I’m not sure. 💞💞

Hi Sona. I didn't know that a shimmer blush is not good for large pores so thanks for the information. I tossed mine today due to expiration date and only have matte blushes left. P. S. I liked your makeup artist skills very much on the Elevator Makeup show

haha I wear dark colors so much in the fall and winter.

Even if we put a powder down, it affects how the cream blush will wear. For example, texture, make up attracting attention to the combinations of products running into one another. It's like ya can't win.

Crazy how gurus have different opinions on blush placement. Others I’ve seen say the total opposite. I could be wrong I think Wayne Goss has the completely opposite opinion. I guess there’s no right way, just how you wanna look!

I think that a lot of it is your bone and muscle structure. When this lady isn't smiling, she still has "apple" cheeks. My mom did, too. The muscle still provides a lift. When I'm not smiling, however, I have no apples; my face just looks flat there, so I usually only apply blush to my cheekbones.

Does anyone have any recommendations for drugstore pore minimizing powders and blushes? ☺️

Nena Pen, elf has a soft halo powder that I love and No 7 lift and illuminate is also a good one - it’s a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury one. Blushes by Milani are great as well as Colourpop - they’re at ulta but cheaper than drugstore prices. Also the new Almay blushes are amazing.

When you talked about powder as a first step, are there special powders that prep the skin for blush application? I use powder all over my face anyway, to set the foundation (when I am not using powder foundation). Is that good enough or should I get a special powder just as a primer for blush? If it's the latter, where would I find one?

Does anyone know which gloss she’s wearing on her lips? Is it Toffee?

I think color is something you can really have fun with. I feel like it’s more of a preference so I would have a few difference blushes to go with your mood. I love a cool tone with dramatic looks and a warm tone with more natural looks.
