Love this video! Most "makeup mistakes" videos are super exaggerated and seem almost like joke. This is truly like common mistakes that all of us do.

Glad you liked it babe.
The concealer tip is unique. Never thought to avoid putting it near the lash line. Love the eyeshadow application tips too.
If it's possible could you please make a video about how to cover under eye dark circles perfectly and still look somehow nature or fresh? Really appreciate your help! Love you!

I’d like to see that too 🙋🏻♀️😊
That’s why I always love a natural makeup look !!! 😊( I wear minimal makeup) I’ve never been a fan of boxy IG brows, extreme highlighting, and the KJ lips 🚫🚫
My favorite tip that you brought up is using the brown eye shadow or a pencil as liner and keeping it on the outer edge. Once I hit 40 I stopped using liquid liner since my eyes are hooded and you are right it looks so much better.
The best video you EVER made, thank you Sona I am even guilty of making these mistakes. Seeing the difference makes all the difference. Such an incredible human you are 🧡🙌🏼

Yay. So happy you enjoyed it. 😍
You give such great tips. You’re such a professional. Always makes me happy when I watch you! ❤️
I love the lifted eye tip and lip lining tip! 😍😍 I like the side without highlighter! I feel like it’s not always flattering in everyone.
Great tip. I was always confused about eyebrow shades. New Subbie. Been binge waiting
I’m going to go easy on the liquid liner and not bring it all the way in. Maybe just start from the middle of the eye and out. Great video!
I loved the eyebrow color tip!
This is so helpful! If you haven’t done one, I’d love to see a video on holiday makeup, especially since summer will be over before you know it. For example, how to choose the right red lipstick for you, and how to do blush and eyeshadow so they are complimenting and not competing with the lip.
One BIG tip: don’t murder your face! She clearly is being heavy handed with the left side of her face. All of the makeup can look great, just use a light hand and blend.

Love the ‘don’t murder your face’ 😂 Very true - less is more.
I was totally doing everything you shouldn't be doing and have been so annoyed with my makeup 😂 What shade are you using for bronzer?

It’s so unrealistic sona, obviously you are not paying any attention to one side, no one do their make this bad
Thank you for the advice about bronzer and eyebrow color! Some tutorials show the process of applying but not tips how to choose shades. Appreciate it while buying online. 🙌🏼
I agree with the previous commenter about you covering the more common mistakes in this video. That was good. I do tend to put a dark-ish brown shade in my crease because my eyes are hooded. I will take more care to use a lighter shade and sweep it upwards. Good reminder. I've always liked your videos. I was off KZread for a while but I'll have to get back to you. Thank you!
Love this video! I’m a fan of liquid eyeliner, and curious to see how you would apply liquid liner without it looking like too much!
Whenever I set my under eyes, my dark circles come back 🤦🏻♀️ how do I keep that from happening? And when do we use a compact powder? Thank you for this video 😘
@simplysona

I think you’re probably moving your concealer as you’re setting your under eyes. So maybe in your case I would recommend a beauty blender and pressing the powder underneath your eyes so that you don’t move the concealer with the brush.

As for when to use a compact powder as long as it’s a setting powder you’re OK to use it the same way I used it in this video, however what I notice is that most people use a compact foundation powder which is very heavy and is meant to replace your liquid foundation hope this makes sense.

Congratulations Great video one of the best I've seen. So natural great tips.
This was great. A lot of takeaways for applying eye makeup. I’ve been applying shimmer on the crease and wondering why it didn’t look so great. Thanks!

I have learnt alot from you. I prefer more neutral colors and love your approach to wearing makeup 😘😘
I love videos like this please keep making these. They are super helpful b
Omg Sona thank you so much!! ❤️❤️hope you and your family are safe
Loved it! I didn't know about the concealer placement. I'll definitely use that info. Thanks!
Excellent video Sona. Love seeing the clear differences between the left and right side. I have massive pores too so this was very useful for me. Thanks :)
So helpful-especially about under eye concealer not getting it up by the lash line...👀 thank you for this video! 🙏🏼😘
Gonna have to try your blush now!
Your videos are so simple and the best 😍
So helpful! I need to spend more time with the base. Thank you !
This was such a helpful video especially if you have mature skin. You can't do makeup the way you used to as a teenage or in your 20 (or in my case even in my 30s). You skin changes so much over time. It's all about adapting, embracing the change and feeling confident at any age. ❤️
Always a good idea to get reminded of what to do and not to do ! Thank you xoxo
Great tips your beautiful ...I appreciate all of them now I have to try and re-work my makeup😆everything you said not to do...I do😢I’ve subscribed ♥️
This was so helpful! Thank you!
Loved this and so natural thank u for sharing
Some great tips, thank you x
Always learning from you Sona. love your videos because it always on point, short and without any blabbing.. keep doing the good work sona. XOXO
Perfectly timed video! I was just about to replace my eyebrow pencil and will follow your tip of getting it two shades lighter than my hair color as a brunette. Thank you so much, I am so excited to try out these tips 💜💜💚
I’m gonna have to try that flicking motion!
i just wanted to tell you that i have been following you for a long time and i can assure you that the texture on your cheeks is sooo much better!! it is almost like there are no more scars. So happy for you xxx
somewhat embarrassed to admit I did not know how to choose my brow shade 😆 i was going too dark. thank you for this!
Excellent video!!
Sona, been loving the tips you gave us. Been practicing all week👍🏼. MandyLea in her video today gave a shout out MULTIPLE times to Persona. What was great was others recommended products for her look today and yours kept coming up. Just wanted to pass on to you how much we love your products ❤️
Great tips!!

I found this so helpful!
Sona thanks for the tips. I have to admit. I have make some of those mistakes. I still think you look beautiful with the correct and mistake side.
I just love this kind of tutorial makeup mistakes! Staysafe everyone🥰
Thank you for this! 💕
This is perfect. I love the tips that you give. Also seeing your gorgeous face. If you need mature tips ...I mean more mature. I got you here ha ha. Tip 1. Never pull or drag. 2 Apply concealer more towards inner corner never over wrinkles. 3 Set ever so slightly. You got this Sona !! Yes. And thanks

These tips are great Louise, thanks for sharing! 😍
Great tips 🌸 the shimmer side I kinda like lol! It reminds me of a Natasha Dennis style shimmer eye if it was diffused out a bit more 🌷
Hi Sona - Very good tips to use for any look be it day or night. I learned a number of techniques I didn't know before so I am very appreciative you took the time to make this video. Thanks!
Loved! This video! Amazing tips! I actually apply my concealer too close to my lashes!!! Can’t wait to try it out tomorrow!
Ty this was very helpful 😀
Hi! My first video with you and I really enjoyed it. Can you please list your lip liner and lipstick?
Helpful video and loving the lip color! 😍
Great video!! I believe that the eyeliner part really depends on your age, your eyeshape and the colour contrast of your face. If I should use the brown eyeliner technique it would not stand out a single bit and my eyes would look way too apart. On the other hand, when I use black eyeliner in a thin line (still, avoiding the inner corner) I instantly have bambi doe eyes. XD
Love, love, love this video! So easy to follow and understand. Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
I love all of your videos! You didnt mention... what mascara are you using? I have noticed you use several different ones in your other videos. Do you have a favorite waterproof one you would recommend?
That vigorous buffing of the foundation in, looks like it might be actually buffing the foundation right off? No? Also, when you were putting the blush on, you also extended and connected it to the side of your nose? Should we be doing that?

Putting blush on the nose is a recent trend to make it look more sun kissed 💖
So good! Love this video!
Super super helpful video! Thanks! 🌸😘
Really good tips, Sona! 💕👍🏻 I have definitely made some of these mistakes! This was super informative. I will be referencing this in the future when making purchasing decisions!
Thanks for all these amazing tips. Love them
I got my brows microbladed several months ago and my technician did my brows too dark. :(. Matches my natural hair color roots but looks too harsh to me. She also lowered my natural arch. I have heavier lids now that im 47. I feel like it aged me. I didn't go back for my second touch up. All I can do is wait for them to fade. I will definitely try your eyeshadow tips
Is it good to use liquid lipstick or cream formula which looks more natural
Thank you! I’m in my 40’s so this certainly helps me!
Loved this, super helpful and though I mostly follow these rules anyway I still picked up a couple of tips! 💋
Great tips
What lip color combo did you use? Looks beautiful
what lip liner and lipstick did you use? Loved the video!
Very very helpful tips for face and lips, thank you ! However I was uncomfortable when it came to eyes. In the video you seem to generalize the fact that "you want to" be light on eyeshadow and liner for them to look good, but it's wrong... If you place and blend nicely a dark eyeshadow and if you manage that straight black eyeliner line, the result will be outstanding ! It's like everything else, people just need practice ! I also agree with other coms, I can't see why the "thing to avoid" here is "aging". I'm young so I don't feel targeted, but it still contributes a little bit to discriminate "aging" women, while the mistakes you show here don't even relate on an aging effect. They just make a not flattering effect.
This video was super helpful. Thank-you so much!
I love this! Another amazing & real makeup up tutorial. Tips were on point. I don’t know if it’s me but I have combo skin and my oily areas are still my dry areas too. Super weird. I get oily on the sides of my chin too. I’m going to try your tip & only set with translucent powder. Love your tutorials so much. 😊
Love this video! Thank you Sona 💋💋💋
I’ve been doing my shimmer eyeshadow too much on the lid. Thanks! Also great tip on concealer too near eye and mascara running together. No wonder it smudges!

I’m so glad you found this video helpful. One other thing I forgot to mention is that you’re mascara formula also matters some of them are just too watery so find one that’s not so liquidy and that will last the longest. Of course waterproof mascara’s are going to work better but I just hate taking it off at the end of the day. :/ haha so if you don’t mind that I would highly recommend trying a waterproof mascara.

Sona Gasparian what would you recommend for mascara?
@anitapereira9864

For me I find the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara is not too liquidy or wet. I don’t use mascara on my bottom lashes.
Thank you very helpful
I’m so glad you made this video. I have been having issues lately with my makeup looking cakey around my cheek area. It may be that I’m not blending correctly and I don’t know if it has always been that way but I’m just now noticing. I’m definitely going to use your tips! Thank you

Could be that you’re taking your concealer too high up or just not blending well enough.
I always go to your videos when I need makeup tips! You give the best advice...especially to this 45 year old! 😉
Great video. Lots of good tips!!
Even with the mistakes you’re still glowing Sona! I noticed you using the Victoria Beckham moisturizer and have been going back and forth on getting it. What’s your opinion on it? One of these days I’ll master cream contour/bronzer-it’s scary 😂
Incredible tips! Thank you from a mature lady. You are lovely.
I tried this and it’s so good! I just want to know if you don’t apply anything on the lid??? Just liner ?
Great video! What kabuki brush are you using!
Love this , thank you Sona 💚
Thanks for the great tips 😘🥰
You can use a traditional foundation brush to apply the foundation, but then take a sponge to blend the foundation into the skin after it for better blending. Also, don't forget to set the smile lines. They are important for aging skin. You need to set the cream bronzer with a powder bronzer though for longer wear. 😁 💜
So many you-tubers need this video! I see over and over crazy colors on eyes with that horrid black liquid liner that is always winged out (which is so passe) and the highlighter is another makeup horror. These girls pile it on all over the face (I bet they will look back in years to come and will just be mortified). Lastly is the multiple layers of powder - I just do not get this one. Anyway your video was so refreshing and much needed!!
This is very helpful! Thank you.
This was cool❤️🙂 your eyes r really pretty.......
💕 love it 💕👍thank you for your video!!
Really great video!!!
What color or brow pencil for black hair?
the brow shade thing does not work at all for me bc i have blonde hair and really dark brown eyebrows sooo i'm just using no product bc then they would look black. i'm just using brow gel to get them in place
@simplysona

That sounds the most natural. I know some people will actually tint their brows so that could also be an option if you wanted to see what a lighter color brow would look on you but honestly the natural contrast is totally gorgeous.
Love it! 🤍
Great video 👍😘I have a texture skin and I haven’t be able to find a high lighter they all look horrible 😔same thing with the concealer my darkness under the eyes not good please help some advise Sona🙏I’m 55 years old lady I love make up and want to look beautiful when I put it on.
