If you have the Vietnamese citizenship, but your income comes from another country and generated there, no tax is to be paid.

We would need to request a birth certificate first from one of your parents, as investigative process. Then, you would be able to apply for the Vietnam passport and citizenship.

If you qualify for a Vietnamese citizenship, yes you will have the same rights as locals do. Stay tuned as we will make a video about it in the near future.

Does getting a Vietnamese passport conflict with having my American US passport? Not all countries are recognized by the US Government which can affect an American’s US citizenship. I am not Vietnamese or related to anyone who is Vietnamese living in Vietnam.

If I'm born in Canada and my parents are Viet Kieu (boat people). But none of them have a Vietnamese passport/citizenship can I still apply for Vietnamese citizenship without renouncing to my Canadian Citizenship? I've been told, from local immigration office here in Canada, that's its impossible to get a Vietnamese citizenship.

Why do you need Viet Namese pass Port? Do you want to own property in viet nam or Juist use Viet Nam passport as Visa to be in and out Viet Nam? The im portance is you should Known. 1- Viet Nam Law is tax Viet Namese citizent ship working over sea if that person had ID card Viet Nam resident or own the propety in Viet Nam.

You need the citizenship to own land.

VIET NAM TAX LAW IS ANY PERSON HAS VIET NAMESE CITIZENSHIP AND WORK AT ANOTHER COUNTRY THAT PERSON HAS TO PAY THE INCOME TAX TO VIET NAM COUNTRY. YOU CAN LOOK AT THE TAX LAW OF VIE NAM AND TELL ME THAT IS NOT CORRECT.

@@duongglobalbusinessconsulting Can any foreigner living in Vietnam for xx number of years become eligible to become a Vietnamese citizen or do you need to be married to a Vietnamese citizen or have Vietnamese ancestry? You can in Thailand (though it isn't easy).

@@duongglobalbusinessconsulting I assume when you say that it's not necessary to be in Vietnam to apply for a Vietnamese passport, this applies only to former Vietnamese citizens or those with Vietnamese ancestry. Someone with no connection to Vietnam would presumably have to reside in Vietnam to be eligible, and as you say it's very difficult?

WHY IS INCORRECT? Viet Nam law is taxing Viet Namese citizentship working over sea. if you dual Viet nam & Us pass port and you are having ID card and proved that living in Viet Nam permance or or short times or you own your property in VIET NAM.
