Not at all. A ghetto rig with an IV plate, an NIJ III, and a load of soft armor could maybe stop M33 FMJ at 10x Scott's normal shooting distance. Maybe. This would annihilate it. You'd need like an inch plate of AR550+, and even that would only be good for a couple shots.

While the destructive power delivered by this massive 4-Bore rifle is absolutely incredible, i gotta say, watching you ride the recoil from firing it is just as impressive. I can't imagine how sore you must be after firing that beast so many times in one go.
A lot of effort has been put into it, it deserves appreciation.
The most impressive thing about Scott's shooting is how he keeps his eyes on target after taking a mule kick to the shoulder.
the amount of energy produced by that round is absolutely insane.
@VoidHalo
Жыл бұрын
You could work it out pretty easily. If you know the muzzle velocity and the weight of the bullet you can work out the kinetic energy with Ke=1/2mv^2 (Kinetic energy equals one half mass times velocity squared). But that doesn't account for the wind resistance and obviously only takes the energy at the point the bullet exits the barrel. To get a more complete picture would not be quite so simple. Heh.

@@yorkleroy5605 I believe he does this on his private land. If such a person were walking by while he was shooting, it could very bad if he just decides to go shooting on public land. I've read some tragic cases of people being killed accidentally because somebody was shooting TOWARDS public land using an inadequate stop and wound up shooting somebody accidentally. Or any number of things can go wrong. Also it depends on the state you're in. I can only speculate, but I imagine the laws would be a lot more friendly to gun owners in Texas compared to a place like, I dunno, Connecticut? Just picking a random state north of the mason-dixon out of a hat.

It occurs to me, comparing the 4 Bore to a sniper bullet, that if the two bullets were combined, it would end up like Bert Gummer's anti-tank rifle for hunting Graboids. So, congratulations for being on THAT level. 😁
Would be cool to see how bulletproof vests, plates and bullet resistant glass hold up against such a beast. Add to that maybe see how it'll do against light vehicle armour like troop transport type stuff. Would be interesting to see how it performs against stuff you'd find in combat zones, especially as this is such a powerful weapon which you wouldn't see in a typical conflict.

Awesome video
I think would be very interesting to see the injuries that would be inflicted on a torso that's protected with a highly rated soft bulletproof vest.

The best home defense caliber, for sure. No concerns of over penetration at all, just over vaporization.

I was on the John when this guy pulls out a bullet I’ve never seen before sir thank you for helping me finish my work 😭💀🤣
If you ever get to do another collab with the slomo guys, i hope this is the gun you bring. It'd be a real spectacle to see what this gun actually looks like at those miniscule speeds.

At this rate Scott is going to graduate to 30mm shoulder fired cannons. I bet you could convince Brandon to make you one. Amazing video as always, I was not expecting the heads to be vaporized, that was impressive. Respect to your shoulder for continuing to persevere through all that recoil.

His laugh and reaction to the bullet going through the heads had me rolling! 😂😂 Love you, Scott! If i shot that 4 bore against my left shoulder, I'd dislocate it for the 4th time. 😂
It's so satisfied to watch that.
OMG you rock dude I’ve never seen two heads come apart like that. !!!!
Gotta admit, I laughed WAY too hard when Scott vaporized the zombie skulls! I might just need some psychiatric help...or an afternoon at the range with a 4 Bore lol!

I think it would be interesting to compare the damage and penetration differences between the 4 bore, a 50bmg with black tip rounds and the .577 tyrannosaur on zombie torsos

Black Tip 50 BMG will not be the most devastating 50 BMG projectile to use against an unarmored ballistic torso. It is a simple AP round, you would want either "Blue Tip" M23 rounds or "Controlled Chaos" hollow point bullets for maximum devastation. The 50 BMG bird-shot might also be quite devastating too (if shot from point blank range)
@js6729
Жыл бұрын
@@LuizBarros99 I think you overlooked the part in my comment about comparing the penetration, black tip 50 cal is straight up designed for maximum penetration. But yeah I'd have no objection to him firing multiple different types of rounds from the 50bmg lol

Remember that iconic video of those gun-club members being knocked about by the .577 Tyrannosaur (shot by Scott in an older vid)? Yeeeah 😬 they'd be royally messed-up by the 4-bore. I'm counting myself in that lot.

Yes. A normal person would need a reinforced brace just to take most of the force. Also, it's probably the closest to one using a Bolter from Warhammer 40k.

Fun fact, Dr. Richard J. Gatling himself, had originally imagined the Gatling gun as an artillery piece chambered in 1.0 caliber (1 inch) in 1861. Eventually after the patent and for practicality, the smaller 45-70 and a few other calibers were used up to modern weapon systems.
