These 5 basketball players who did the No-Jump Dunk, which means dunking without even hardly jumping. Through the 1970s, the slam dunk was standard fare by NBA legends such as Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, David Thompson, Julius Erving, Darryl Dawkins, and others.
Make sure you have your life insurance, health insurance and sports medical insurance before attempting a no-jump dunk!
Facts about these 5 basketball players who did the no-jump dunks.
1) Kenny George is an American retired basketball player. He played for the University of North Carolina at Asheville Bulldogs from 2006 to 2008. Back in In October 2008, George had his right foot partly amputated due to a health issue called Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection. George came back from retirement and recovery, and played in 4 games for the Tuři Svitavy team of the NBL of the Czech Republic, back in March 2011. There was a claim that he may have been the tallest player in the history of college basketball.
2) Mamadou N'Diaye who currently plays for University of California Irvine, and remained undrafted until now. He now plays for the Golden State Warriors Development League Team. He has been compared with NBA players such as Yao Ming, and Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert in terms of wingspan and flexibility.
After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, N'Diaye joined the Golden State Warriors for the 2016 NBA Summer League. On October 22, 2016, he signed with the Detroit Pistons, but was waived later that afternoon. On October 30, he was acquired by the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League as an affiliate player of the Pistons. He was later waived by Grand Rapids on November 10, prior to the start of the regular season.
3) Sun Ming Ming is currently the tallest professional basketball player in the world, and was measured by the Guinness World Records as 7 ft 9 in (2.36 m) tall. He appeared in a fight scene in Rush Hour 3 alongside Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, playing his role as "Kung-Fu Giant".
Sun Ming Ming came to the United States in early 2005 to train for a possible career in the NBA, and had a tryout with the Los Angeles Lakers, but was not selected in the draft. In 2005, Sun discovered that he had a benign brain tumor attached to his pituitary gland that was stimulating the over-production of growth hormone known as acromegaly. Because he had neither life insurance, medical insurance or health insurance nor enough money to pay for the more than $100,000 in medical bills, his agent started a fundraising loans/donation campaign, and the campaign was successful as lots of people donated. The tumor was successfully removed back on September 26, 2005.
Sun played with several American minor league teams such as the USBL team Dodge City Legend, the ABA team Maryland Nighthawks, and the IBL team Grand Rapids Flight. He was also drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters in 2007, being the tallest player in their history to be drafted by them, but he'd never play for them.
In 2009 he returned to China to play for the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), and became a member of the 2012 and 2014 CBA Finals championship winning teams.
4) Paul Sturgess is best known as "Tiny" in the Harlem Globetrotters team. He played for the Harlem Globetrotters from 2011-2013, and later signed with Texas Legends till 2014. He is currently playing professional basketball for Cheshire Phoenix of the British Basketball League.
On November 1 2013, Sturgess was selected by the Springfield Armor in the third round of the 2013 NBA Development League Draft. On 4 November 2013, he was traded to the Texas Legends where he played for the rest of the season. On November 19 2014, he was signed by Cheshire Phoenix of the British Basketball League.
5) Elhadji Tacko Sereigne Diop Fall, or best known as "Tacko Fall" currently plays for University of Central Florida, and hopes to enter into the NBA scene in 2 years time. He had previously lived with 2016 NBA Draft No.1 pick, Ben Simmons for a year in Houston, Texas. Tacko had trained with both Ben Simmons and Hakeem Olajuwon during his college days. In the 2019 NCAA March Madness tournament, Tacko Fall and his team UCF Knights fell short to Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils. Tacko Fall currently plays for the Boston Celtics in 2019.
Born and raised in Dakar, Senegal, Tacko Fall moved from Senegal to the United States at age 16. Initially, he played soccer and had no interest in basketball. Tacko Fall has aspirations of becoming an engineer for electronic companies such as Siemens or Microsoft.

It’s almost hard to enjoy basketball when your that tall. Even life in general extra size shoes, struggle to get in any form of public transport. They all wish they were smaller trust me.
I used to work out with Ming Ming Sun at Ventura College. He was only allowed to play exhibition games due to NCAA rules but I'll never forget the pileup he caused when he walked out of the locker room and the opposing team, doing layup drills, forgot what they were doing.

they are weak (no stamina) and slow (to heavy), they only do 2 things and is what u see in the video and block, nothing else...just make them move...yao ming for example if im not mistaken, good player but, the teams he played for never got to be champions...team sport, the strategy whit them becomes very easy to read...just my opinion of course :P
@sunofgod480

Dani Yoksa Good points. I wondered why NBA is not full of them. However, it seems all these giants have to do to score is simply stand near the basket, catch the ball and put it in. Just do that every trip down the court. 100% shooting, lol! How do you stop that? They don't even have to jump up. What strength, stamina, or speed does that take? And for defense, just stand them in front of the basket with their arms raised, they can probably block 80%+ of shots, and no need to even jump.
@sunofgod480
7 жыл бұрын
***** Yes, Raunaq, I know the 3 second rule might screw some of them up, so their only "effort" will be stepping in and out of the paint every 3 seconds.
@Danifootwings
7 жыл бұрын
And there is other thing...transition, transition, transition lol...they score ok, do a fast transition from defense to offense and u catch a team whit one less player :P...its all about team work and strategy in the end..but there is always a way...
@sunofgod480
7 жыл бұрын
Dani Yoksa Yeah, you're right, I thought about that, they are extremely tall, but also extremely slow. Okay, lets say I have TWO of these giants, all I have to do is on offense, have one trail really back so on transition, he doesn't have far to go to get back. His specialty will be getting back to position himself to play defense.
Now imagine they had Nate Robinson's vertical!

My question for any of these guys and their team, why couldn't you WIN EVERY SINGLE GAME YOU PLAYED...and score on every possession. I mean, get your big man to the rim. Get him the ball, turn and put it in....everyyy time...I mean, really.
@KyoFanDuB
9 жыл бұрын
Because they lack of stamina and movements. They cant stay so long in the paint because of the 3 seconds rule. Besides of that theyre slow most of them...and they cant even do a single crossover or even dribble with safety. Its not all about being big...if you know some basketball you will know that.
@IW4523

A lot of these guys are lazy, they realise they can get blocks dunks and rebounds without trying against bad teams then as soon as they go NCAA div 1 and play against guys who are athletic, can pump fake and can out jump them no one cares about them anymore. I'd kill to see just one of these 7ft 5+ guys put in the work guys like Yao Ming did
@danielechomusic
9 жыл бұрын
They also get double and triple teamed whenever they touch the ball, so if they bring it low the defenders might be able to strip the ball, and they don't make 100% of their shots either..like they don't dunk it every time because they sometimes can be too far from the rim in which they have to do a hook shot, jump shot, turnaround fadeaway, or pass the ball lol
@LilCAm3211
9 жыл бұрын
Well for one, if you play a team who likes to play fast, then that big 7 foot 7 dude wouldn't be able to get down the court quick enough. Also these big dudes in the video kind of suck. None of them got to the NBA.
@GroundHOG-2010
9 жыл бұрын
Basketball at the center position isn't just about size, you need the skill and timing for it to be able to work. Also, while size is good, those smaller people are usually stronger and a little bit faster. If you try to have your big center push down? He can't, the other player has lower position, if he tries to turn around the other guy is too quick. Without that skill to be able to turn and shoot over a shoulder with a hook shot and/or a fadeaway, you won't get anywhere except tiring your bigman.
WOW such SKILL

+Grey Valentine many of these giants are suffering of pituitary gland disorder. The pituitary gland in regulates body growth, and when having this disease the body over grows. They suffer of severe joint pains, easy fractures, hip fracture, bone and muscle mass problems, and eventually they have short life spans...and you can see it with their atrophied movements.....Yao, Shaq, and other 7'1 plus players on the other hand are naturally tall; they don't have pituitary gland problems, and you can see the difference in their movements being more athletic, agile, and strong.
