That "Breathe In" "Hold" and "Breathe Out" is a whole second. So the guide techinically is 5-8-9 😂

The counting should go directly from breathing out into breathing in. There is some extra unaccounted time where it says to repeat and breathe in, while the timing is paused. It should be continuous.

no, it is the 4 7 8 technique, you are supposed to hold for a count of 7, that is part of the exercise. I use this technique to stop panic attacks. If you can't hold your breath, that is fine, but this specific exercise includes holding your breath as part of the breath control.

Such wrong instruction! You cant just hold breath for 7 seconds, hello? Did you even watch instruction video of Dr. Weil - the person who has conceived the method? "What is the 4 7 8 breathing technique? Close your lips and inhale through your nose for a count of four. Hold your breath for a count of seven. Exhale completely through your mouth making a whoosh sound for a count of eight. This completes one cycle"

@@nganmai5860 you misunderstood his instructions, it’s exactly what the video does, although they do it in seconds which works too. • @nganmai5860

@@ilymystily it's not to count to 7 from beginning, Dr's instruction is to count from 4, you should watch his video and see how he do it as an example.
