I found this to be useful. I plan on getting my car to 700whp with no supercharger hopefully. It is a 2006 ford mustang gt.

Hey great video! I have a stock block on my 2002 GT. If i ran the exact set up like you, would the stock block take it? If so, can you give me the list of the same set up including part number of rods, pistons, rings and bearings (all supporting items). Im trying to create my build with a budget but was hard to locate all the parts you have.

You mentioned the chamfered side, i have some manley rods and they are chamfered both sides. Talked to manley and they said they can go either way, any recommendations you might have?

Great vids. So I heard once that you want to stagger the open sides of the rings so they arent all on the same side. Have you heard that? I imagine they spin around and rotate as the engine operates so I would think it doesnt matter much but I think the idea behind it is to help keep oil from traveling past the rings .

Justin Johnson yep you want to stagger them mainly for initial start up. Total seal provided a diagram that showed how to stagger the ring gaps

Hey did you get the rotating assembly balanced with or without the harmonic balancer? Thanks for the videos

I had the machine do it with the balancer this time but it’s not absolutely necessary with a modular engine

I love these videos man! I do have a question though, over the last few months i've been purchasing new rods/pistons etc... and will be attempting my first engine build this winter. So my question is.... is it really as straight forward as your videos make it seem? my worst fear is spending all this money and putting it together, fire it up and have something break on me.

BottleFed_2v it’s very straight forward you just have to pay very close attention to detail
