It’s a simple swap bolted on no issues , I did my research before attempting to do the swap. Gather all the right parts and everything just came together. Took 2 full days of work

You’ll just need the engine stuff Ecu Bcm Motor mounts Frame mounts Fuel lines adapters V8 engine V8 radiator hoes V8 ac lines V8 engine harness 99-02 are the same Or 03-06 depending what year your is

Could you cover more on the auto to manual conversion? Do all the parts off a factory manual truck bolt right up to a factory auto truck? Like the clutch pedal, and master, shifter hole?

Eveything will bolt up Shifted hole template is there just cut it out Clutch peddle guild is there just drill the hole The master is the hole for the pedal Crossmember will need to be modified or find a Manuel one like me will bolt up Will need a driveshaft made Or find a oem Manuel one

@@jorgerosales4559 you can make them work still takes a little time and work , either tap into the sensor needed for your oem cluster Or depending on what ecu setup you go with you can get a digital cluster that shows all your gauges

Just measure right while the truck is on the ground we may have different lengths depending what version of this transmission is the donor car .

No the yoke is the same style as a 4l80 and it’s different size drive shaft length aswell

You’ll need the v8 frame mounts and motor mounts from same year and style truck. Also the engine harness ecu and matching bcm Fuel line adapters all v8 radiator hoes and v8 ac lines, seems like a lot but it’s not

I have a 2002 one and a half cab with the 5.3 and i love this truck. got 384,000 out of the motor then just recently swapped a new one in. wish i could put the 6.0 in but I'm in cali sadly and it wouldnt pass smog. btw, what kind of changes do you have to make on the ecm in order to run a 5 speed and 6.0?

I am in cail too Ecm is an oem 4.8 5speed I found from a parts truck, funny thing is it runs on it fine without tunning it for the 6.0 but I am gonna get it tuned to get it running a1.

@@Thomas-pt2bt yes air fuel ratios are off that’s for sure just saying it’ll run it, just needs fine tunning. With hp tuners you’ll be able to calibrate the tune. Will be posting soon once I get it tuned.

My nv3500 went out so I got a remanufactured nv3500 behing my 5.3 swap and didnt last either bro just save up and go t56 thats what I should’ve done

It was a oem v8 to nv1500 hardness super rare of a parts truck I found You can use a auto harnss just jump the neutral safety switch No need to delete the vats when u get the ecu and matching bcm just do a key relearn

I have a Manuel computer in mine but the auto should work , I would still get it tuned/flashed for a Manuel setup and get it all dialed

So the 6.0 on a 4.3 will turn on ? Even without a tune and still daily drivable. Just got a harness , waiting for motor mounts to come in. Now I gotta look for a 6.0 I have a 06 gmc with a 4.3 , Currently have a 05 harness. What else in parts do I need
