Eric Tattersall did not deliver a good performance today by any means. He inserted himself into the match by awarding that early free kick, issued so many cautions that they started to loose meaning, and seemed to mismanage stoppages and substitutions by allowing a lot of timewasting. I also did not like his harsh approach when addressing dissent from the technical areas. He should have been more tactful and diplomatic. Let’s hope he performs better in his upcoming center referee assignments. The AR’s and fourth official performed their duties well and helped the referee with match control to the best of their ability and within the scope of their roles. I commend the AR’s and fourth official for keeping level heads throughout the match no matter how much it was boiling up.
Ya I thought so, not showing the "foul" that lead to that free kick for OC. Embarrassing refereeing performance. Hopefully he is reprimanded for that one.
