京都の郊外に建つ、3台が駐車可能な薪ストーブのある「3つの庭を持つガレージハウス」のルームツアーです。暮らしが始まった住宅を動画でご案内します。

背後に里山を望む敷地は、南向きで日当たりがよく、旧家が立ち並ぶ、京都郊外ののどかな地域です。
敷地は100坪ほどありますが、駐車スペースは必然的に一番前に来るので、建物の心象を決定づけることになります。
「3台駐車可」は当初からのテーマで、何とか機能と美しさを両立させたガレージハウスにしたい。更にそれを、木造4号物と呼ばれる、一般的な工法で実現することに腐心しました。
敷地が南北に長く、「前庭」「中庭」「裏庭」と3つの外部を配置しています。
「家族で気軽に屋外で食事がしたい」「近所の友人とＢＢＱを楽しみたい」という要望を叶えたのが「中庭」でした。
22畳程あるＬＤＫの南に連続することで、アウトドアリビングとなります。
郊外型の住宅は、周辺の視線を気にしなくてよい外部を確保しづらいもの。また、車社会でもあります。
インナーガレージとしては3台ですが、その前に3台、前庭に2台と、計8台はゆったり駐車できます。駐車場から中庭へ、直接アプローチできる動線も確保しました。
薪ストーブはこれまで何度もトライしましたが、初めて実現できました。ゆらめく炎を見るのも楽しいですが、体が温まると外にでても温かいそうです。
どの計画においても、まずはメインテーマを決めます。

多くの人が訪れる家は、よい家に決まっています。笑顔がさらなる笑顔をつれてきてくれるはずですから。
1996年、25歳の時に生まれ育った大阪に設計事務所を設立しましした。関西を中心に、注文住宅、クリニック、店舗、オフィス、保育園と、直接依頼頂いたクライアントに約100件の作品を持たせて頂きました。
形態も新築、リノベーション、コンバージョンと様々。 物づくりの現場より面白い所を私は知りません。
住まい手の夢をかなえるのが、建築家の役目だと思っています。

I'm Moritani from Atelier m, an architect and first-class office in Osaka.
This is a room tour of a "court house with three gardens" in the suburbs of Kyoto, where three cars can be parked. The video will take you on a tour of the house where life has begun.

The site, with a view of a satoyama in the background, faces south and is lined with old houses in a sunny, peaceful neighborhood in the suburbs of Kyoto.
The site is approximately 100 tsubo (approximately 1,000 square meters) in size, but the parking space is inevitably at the very front of the building, which determines the mental image of the building.
The "three-car garage" was a theme from the beginning, and we wanted to create a garage house that somehow managed to combine functionality and beauty. Furthermore, we were determined to realize it using a common construction method known as "wooden No. 4" construction.
The site is long from north to south, and we arranged three exterior areas: a front yard, a courtyard, and a back yard.
The "courtyard" fulfilled the desire of the client to "casually dine outdoors with family" and "enjoy BBQ with friends in the neighborhood.
By connecting the LDK, which is about 22 tatami in size, to the south, the courtyard becomes an outdoor living space.
Suburban houses are difficult to secure an outside area where one does not have to worry about the surrounding sight lines. It is also a car-oriented society.
The inner garage is for three cars, but there is room for three cars in front of it and two cars in the front yard, for a total of eight cars. We have also secured a direct approach line from the parking lot to the courtyard.
We have tried many times to install a wood-burning stove, but this is the first time we were able to do it. Watching the flickering flames is enjoyable, but once your body warms up, you feel warm outside as well.
In every project, the main theme is decided first.
A house where laughter is ensured.
A house that many people visit must be a good house. Because smiles will bring more smiles.
In 1996, at the age of 25, I established a design office in Osaka, where I was born and raised. I have worked on about 100 projects for direct clients in the Kansai area, including custom homes, clinics, stores, offices, and nurseries.I don't know of any place more interesting than the field of manufacturing.
