Cream Puff fyi all of her songs gotten a decent amount of public interest that all her korean works debut on the charts though its longevity varies greatly. And her spotify monthly listeners still increase without a new song after 8 months. And yeah she's the main vocalist. SM always push their main vocalist only for singing related

the problem is imo SM failed to see why people neglect/avoid this amazing girl. She had problem in the past, and SM did absolutely nothing to solve the problem, well that results until right now that new stans of kpop would have 'reasons' to hate/dislike this girl. Idk I still wish the best for RV and Wendy, but sometimes I wish that Wendy would be brave enough to move out from SM if she was not being projected to be a solo singer as Taeyeon is, and the possibility of her being tossed aside is still there.

Simply hitting highnotes doesn't make her the best vocalist since there a lot of idols who can hit highnotes. What makes her _THE main vocalist of her generation_ is the ability to continually(almost half of the entire song xD) hit those powerful highnotes with unwavering resonance, her emotions, her control, her range, and idk she just gives me that goosebumps. Honestly, i can't think of any 3rd or 4th gen vocalist who can outsing Wendy.

This is in my opinion, the best performance of Wendy! How lucky Reveluvs to have a main vocal like her. Wendy you did great!

True! While many of ReVeluvs appreciate her I've seen some ReVeluvs take her for granted ! In Korea, she's actually the most underrated along with Yeri among the group members. I hope these performances will let her talent shine across Korea and the world :)

She will be a digital monster. Who cares about the fandom? Fans are just for album buying power. Wendy definitely has more support from the general public.

Technically, Wendy is the best main vocal in this generation. Shes got a good head voice, she can sing the low note easily. Wendy is a soprano, but she can hit her lowest note(F#3) easily and doin that great. That's why she's the best. Shes one of the most developed lower register and head voice in KPOP even tho shes rarely resonant.

Wendy is still better overall since she has far more developed head and lower register. She suits more riffs and random adlibs rather than sustained belt one in my opinion but nonetheless she still kills.

The thing that struck me the most about this performance is that, unlike most other covers of this song, she chose to go more of the ballad route rather than the usual rock style. I feel that this was a smart decision bc not only does it suit her velvety voice and usual style of singing more, it also adds her own flavour to this song as it brings out the "sad" side of the song rather than the "powerful" side like most other covers. I love you wendy!

Not trying to peddle a conspiracy theory, but it might have been arranged that way because RV is planning an international/local concert series and the release/promo of their album in the next few weeks. Every thing is perfect about this performance from her technique, her range, her lower register, her head voice, her belting, no strains, and the emotions that she puts into her singing is effortless! I know! I'm going to slap this video in the faces of those who dare say bullshit like her vocals are deteriorating and her head voice is declining! What are people hearing? She's dancing and singing at the same time most of the time, so some notes won't sound perfect! That's why I never judge singers when they're dancing and singing at the same time. Wendy's vocals are beyond amazing!

Love Over A Thousand Years by Park Wan Kyu is a song that is hard to sing with its high notes, but we all know Wendy is such a great singer and she proves it by singing it perfectly great.

they purposely did it. because if she performed again and she won against the king, her schedule will be messed up. especially now with their concert La Rouge and the ReVe Festival Finale.

@@yrizluv Yep! I've seen it happen with Kyuhyun(genie mask) from Super Junior too because their comeback was like next week and he sang Jonghyun's song as final tribute and went out with a bang! It was a phenomenal perf but scheduling issues!

Wendy. You'll always be amazing to me. You and Taeyeon are the best female vocalists that SM and the KPOP industry can ever give us.

I love Wendy's voice so much that I put her OSTs/covers/SM Stations on repeat including RV's b-sides because Wendy dominates most of their music from her lines to her background vocals to the harmonies to her ad libs...

Wendy is incredibly one of a kind. She's one of the greatest in this field even if you include the 2nd gen. I get it that we have our own faves but it's quite obvious that Wendy stands best in vocals from this gen. It's not all about belting the high notes (I do admit that it's really amazing to here them do so sometimes but still), from technicality, control to emotions. She just own it. I often see other fandoms comparing their main vocalists to Wendy yet Wendy is often compared to 2nd gen main vocalists. And I thought that's really her level - Taeyeon, Solji, Hyorin, Luna, Eunji and solo artists like Ailee. Yet I can't see much vocalist from these gen being compared to them aside from Wendy.

I feel she can only be compared to the 2nd gen because if we talk about 3rd gen there's no one that is at the level of Wendy, including MAMAMOO.

She was up against one of the most popular vocalists in Korea - Seokhun (of SG Wannabe, also is vocal trainer on Produce 101) - he's more popular with older voters, which are more likely to be in the audience

I'm a Wendy Stan. She's my ultimate bias.

Wendy is a main vocalist that is one of a kind. Reveluvs like me, knows that wendy doesnt just sing for the heck of it. Many of us dont understand korean but when She sing, i can really feel her emotions, somehow telling me what the song is all about and telling me what i should also feel. Wendy gives more than justice to the songs that she sing, she also help the audience and us, her fans, to relate with what she is singing may it be korean or english or other languages.

Wendy song choices is very wide and unexpected. Usually idol singers will choose song that are hit nowadays since young viewers will be attracted more, but wendy just set another standard.

a true main vocalist. range, technique and POWER she got it all and more

평소 레벨 노래 부를 때랑 목소리가 완전 다르다... 약간 성악 느낌도 나고. 스엠 처돌이 12년차인데 웬디인거 모르고 들었으면 몰랐을듯

웬디 처음에 sm오디션 보고 들어올때 저런 소울있는 목소리로 들어왔어요 레벨 노래 하면서 발성 좀 바뀌었죠 그래도 7가지 목소리 있는 웬디는 어디 가지 않습니다..ㅎ

Wendy’s voice to die for. It sucks that whether the panelists knew it was her or not, it should be easy to recognize her voice. But bc sm does her so dirty ppl arent used to hearing wendy sing like this.... shes so underrated i’m glad she got the recognition she deserves on this show 🥺

Wendy will debut as a soloist on April 5th 2021 ^^

She really has been improving! I've been noticing that her vocals and dancing have been powering up since the tail end of the Bad Boy era and I'm loving it!

so many idols are afraid of covering this song but Wendy did that!!

I think it has something to do with her schedule too. Red Velvet was preparing for a concert, a Japan tour, an American tour and a new album around this time.
