The timer running out thing wasn't a bug, when time runs out on a delivery job you still can deliver the thing but you don't get any money and the person complains about you being late

perfectly placed video, I must say, flippy. I, as a Brazilian, am ashamed of the existence of this game that for many of us is almost a SCAM they stayed for 10 years, raising a total of more than 300 thousand R$ using crowdfunding to end up releasing just a pre-alpha with no content other than a ''gta clone freeroam'' with boring delivery activities. and all the lies and dishonesty, lack of transparency with the community that helped the devs asking money for things like ''mocap equipment'' to end up using free animation assets using assets to achieve the goals faster wouldn't be a problem, but when 95% of the game is made of cheap assets and nothing really programmed by devs. and yet with all those assets and crowd campaign they can just release some alpha, yes it becomes a problem. the problem is that Brazilians want to be proud of having something about our country so bad, that they take projects like these and hype them up, when in fact there are other Brazilian games with a lot of talent, less production budget, and that still manages to be much better than 171, with more quality and more content.

As a brazilian, it feels good to see a video talking against this game, it's seriously stupindeous how many many YTers out there, brazilian or american, sucking off this game which sucks, our game industry has potencial but we have so many games like this that look like a asset flip scam, 171 is not even the first, you can search up for ''Rio - raised in oblivion'' and that one was even worse, cause it released in such a terrible state and now the creators even put NFTs...still, i wouldn't say we don't have good games, we have great ones like fobia st dinfna hotel, Dolmen, Dandy Ace and Toren, despite being well made they all fail to get attention simply because they aren't a cheap knock-off from AAA games like call of duty and GTA.

These games are kind of a meme in the Brazil Dev community. There is always that guy who enters the dev Voice Chat just to say "What if we made (Game that already exists) *bUt iN BrAzIl*?" And most of people will defend the game just because it is labeled as "X" game but in Rio or São Paulo, even though the game is dogshit.

yea, this game mostly served to taint the name of crowd-funded games even more and poison the well for any future ambitious game made in Brazil. the devs underestimated the costs, made a patchwork of pre-made assets and after so many years it's still in this state. I also wouldn't call it a scam, but it seems they bit way more than they could chew with the project

This game is just two dudes in a favela trying to get out of the slums with an Intel Celeron and crowd funding campaigns.

The map looks really cool for a super early build and it has potential. I agree with what you said about the money and pre-made assets. This game understandably looks broken and buggy, but I can’t imagine how difficult making a game like this is. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to even get the game to run as much as it does in this video, especially since I have no background in game making, probably like the person who made this game.

As an indie dev-ish, it is ok to use pre-made assets if you're testing physics, code or anything that doesn't rely on a 're-invented' asset. But this should only be for gimmicks such as "I Made GTA VI In 24 Hours", demonstration or just practice. Most dev tutorials on KZread have you installing pre-made assets just to speed up the process of learning, while also teaching you how to import assets. It seems odd to take 10 years making something that only meets this caliber, but I also do not know the story behind it. I also think "Clone" should be used for those lacking in quality for a price of.. dignity. This is most likely inspired by GTA but I would not name it a clone since the devs may be naive rather than malice -- not making a quick cash-grab, but I could be wrong. It does have a lot more potential than what you can find in the "Great Theft Crime City 3D Simulator Life 一坨屎 5 Part 2" part of the app stores. EDIT 1: 30 Trx is too much for what this 'game' is. Sorry for the bad English.

The ragdolls upon getting shot seem somewhat interesting. Seem somewhat close to how people are when they actually get shot instead of the GTA V dramatic injuries. Overall, it's likely a game driven by passion than it is a qualified production.

To begin with, I agree with you that the price in dollars is a little expensive, but the rest of the information you said in the video is distorted because you didn't look at both sides, I questioned the developers about this price in dollars in their contact and they said that they got the price wrong and will reduce the price to about 15 dollars as soon as steam releases the possibility of changing the price again, it seems that Brazil does not have a tax agreement with the US and that is why companies here end up charging a little more because they are bi-taxed. 30 USD is wild. But it's a lot of taxes tho, those guys have no big lawyers to help them evade that YET. In Brazil is only 10 USD, and it was every Brazilian kid's dream to have a GTA title set here, so this could be a game changer for us gamers and for game development.

Good insights, I was just directed to your channel since *my last vid offered a fair critique to the game too* (which i agree is rare), however I got some backlash and victimization from what I assume our colleagues of the dev's. My conclusion was to simply Wait for them to release the "big" update which would shut down all the so called "haters", so I'll be either staying tuned for the car crash.. or who know's.. maybe they pull it off somehow.

unreal engine "developer" try to implement only-in-sight rendering challenge (impossible) with something like gamemaker unoptimized things are a little bit acceptable, but with the weight of an entire 3d rendered game with thousands of polygons on screen, you cant put off optimizing with more than unreal engines automatic backface culling

It's so sad that, in the nine years since GTA V, there have been a grand total of zero good open world crime games that do anything better than a nine year old game thats been entirely neglected in favor of an online "experience".
