I wish Prinsu would include or hell even sell additionally; a pre cut/drilled set of weather strips. It seems like the most complicated part of the whole job and gladly pay extra just to replace the factory ones with perfectly drilled ones from the rack maker.

Dude right!?!?! I would pay extra to have pre drilled ones haha it was a pain in the ass. I’m just happy my truck doesn’t have water leaking yet from the roof 🤣

I've seen people drill the weather stripping but I tried a paddle bit like you, a foster bit, and even a step bit and none of them made a very clean hole. I found marking the holes and just cutting it out with a very sharp razor was the best for me

Yeah , I think and Xacto knife would cut a more precise hole , a little tedious and time consuming, but a better overall result .
Did the kit come with the spacers?
Do you know what the weight limit is?
Do you have a link for the rack?
Great video. Can you use a hole saw to cut through the weather strip and metal at the same time?

Yeah I’m sure you can. You only cut halfway through so just be careful not to go completely through

I saw a section towards the front of the rack that is super close to the roofs paint, did you have any areas that it would rub?

Nope doesn’t rub at all. Not even the weather strip.

Yooo are those holes in your roof already threaded and ready for the spacers and bolts? Or do you have to remove your headliner to install this rack?

You have to remove the weather strip and the holes are already ore drilled you just have to drill through the tape covering them

@Good4_ThePuuwai Oh yeah. I'll change all of that eventually. I'm not doing anything at the moment that would require me to rush and get the lift, wheels, and tires done so i'm waiting for my tire tread to run low. That'll give me more time to save the $8,000 its gonna cost with labor haha

You can use epoxy for that extra hole if black silicone didn’t work🤓
How bad is the wind noise at high speeds?
