This is such a fun thing, but I think it would take alot of practice before using on clients...I found on another channel how to make homemade 3d gel for when you run out of the ones they send, just mix any colored builder gel with acrylic and there it is...I tried it out and it actually worked better than the sculpting gels I had bought...tyfs!!

Yeah i had a lot of trouble finding any info. What’s been working for me, since it doesn’t love to cure all the way through, is cover whatever you make with it in top coat, use a thin brush to wipe the excess off, then cure. Kinda seal it. It’s a lot of fun once you play with it Awhile.

I’ve seen something like this I think it was yesterday but of course they don’t show you how it works so I’m glad to see this video

All right I’m sold I want one of these. I did see one of these on an ad and I was wondering how it works of course they don’t truly show you thanks for posting this

If u sprinkle it with a bit of acrylic powder it won’t stick to the mold kind of like sprinkling dough with flour before you roll it out

Another great video I’ve done stamping plates but haven’t tried 3D molds it looks so cool but seems bulky I would definitely cut them done to apply easier Wish I could have been here earlier 😔💅🏻♥️

I definitely think if you cut the mold into smaller pieces, or even just cut the patterns individually it would make it so much easier to use. Since the mold is so big it looks really difficult to get the pattern on there as even without the rest of the mold flopping around or the other nails getting in the way. Oops, just got to the part of the video where you also suggested it 😆 do disregard my comment.

Question do the oils from your fingers not impact how the putty adheres to the nail? Ya know how with normal gel polish they stress absolutely no oils on the nail surface so it doesn’t effect the adherence? You may have mentioned this in the video and I possibly didn’t hear it, in which case my apologies! Thanks in advance for your response :)

Not that I’ve found. Since then I’ve used my fingers to mold with it and didn’t have any issues. My hands are really dry though, so maybe that’s why.

I have the same products. I cured it after I made the design and when I went to file it, it wasn’t completely cured. I increased the cure time and it still would move when I went to file the side walls. 😩

I didn’t experience that, but i didn’t file. I just cured then top coat. I think it maybe depends on the top coat to harden

Yeah sometimes. They also work on top of tacky acrylic. I like the gel stuff for 3d flowers too. It won’t harden well without top coat though, fyi.

@@baptizedbyglitter i learned a neat trick with gel polish once you make the impression. Cover in polish, wipe the surface, and it will leave gel in the creases so you get a two tone
