Is it still locking and unlocking? My guess is the bit lock is stuck. I would still try taking it apart to see if maybe something is stuck.

If it stopped locking/unlocking, then it’s most likely dust

You might wanna try treating your brush. Natalie carmona has a great video on prepping new brushes that helped me a ton. Also try cleaning it every few beads with a 50/50 mix of monomer and acetone. That’s what i use when i have this issue and its great, if also doesn’t hurt the brushes

So when u say liquid, u dont say what... is it water, alcohol or acetone? U dont specify but im really wanting to learn hpw to use pugments, Ive got at least 150 pigments! Lol thanks for the video!

Oh I’m so sorry! It was just water! It’s helps break up the white to make it look smoky. You can use alcohol too!

If it won’t lock then something is upside down, or backwards. It’s really easy to do. Check the bearings on the side of the spring. They should be rounded side out, and the ring with the balls in it should be between washers

Is it perhaps a different brand? If not, you may want to try wd-40. When the stills heat up the metal can expand, that can help loosen it

Wrong sorry but agh. Kolinsky sable is an actual type of sable usually from siberia. Its a subspecies. Like a pitbull dog. Or a parrot bird. Idk. You shiukd get the point. Not all sable is kolinsky but all kolinsky sable is sable. Now cheap brands lie or just use the smallest amount of cheap sable

my motor is working but as soon as i put the bit lock back on it just will not spin, im going insane trying to find what’s preventing it from spinning so weird too because the bit lock is working perfectly smooth and so is the motor, something must be jamming somewhere on the guts that connect the efile bit to the motor. either way this a super great and helpful video! 🫶

I love it. So glad i can use it in the house.. 60 sec cure..easy application..doesnt set until cure. More acrylic, less monomer. Love it.

Thank you for your video they are pretty 🥰. Do you use a super thin clear base acrylic coat? With the pink one did you do a clear thin base, then a thin pink layer? Also did it have glitter in the pink powder or was the glitter just applied to wet pink layer? sorry basic questions I'm sure but I'm still trying to learn/master the layers 🙈

No apology necessary, yes i use a thin clear base acrylic, i find it helps adhesion, and it’s useful if you plan to do fills so you can change colored acrylic without filing everything off. And it was loose glitter applied to the pink when it’s wet. After it set a little i put a thin layer of clear over the glitter. It helps not remove the glitter when you file, but also really makes the glitter pop.

Do you still check this page? I hope so! I have a different drill, but the inside is almost identical. But every time I put it back together, my lock for the bit piece won’t open up and close. It’s just tight. I’ve watched your video over and over and can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. My spring will move up but won’t come back down. Thanks so much if you even read this! :)

Using this monomer has slowed my application process by 20 minutes or so. Also gums up on my brush really badly. I use a 16. Also have to cure clients hands 2-3 times in led light

My machine motor still turns on, but the part where we have to twist to change the bits that part is not opening at all for me, this is the second machine that’s done this to me. Literally, I cannot twist it to open it with the bits What do I do about that?😢
