Replacing the Dragon DS tracks with the Quick Tracks is a no brainer and yes it is a further on cost but they look a whole lot better.

Thanks! I bought the panzer 3 tracks but gave up because I could not get them together. I will try again using the angle construction.😊

Be patient. Most of these things have a sweet spot that make them efficient to assemble. The trick is finding it. Stick with it 💪

Very good review. A further note, on "some" 3d printed track sets the links themselves feature small details such as casting numbers, which is rarely found on either white metal or injection moulded sets mostly I would wager due to the limitation of those two materials. Is that small detail enough to justify spending the coin, up to the individual I guess. Another thing I have noted regarding 3d printed tracks is that some companies also offer various track evolution styles, I will use the Panzer I track as an example, their are two variations of the track type, with about six different additions to the base tracks, things such as cleats were added, ice teeth(?) which were basically two rectangular bars that were bolted through the tracks to provide greater traction for the narrow tracks on icy terrain. Not really details you find from main stream AM track sets.

Good points. I’d be more than happy to use printed tracks again for sure. So I hope that didn’t come across in the video. They were very good..I just didn’t feel they were significantly better than the kit tracks…But of course it’s a kit by kit proposition. Really appreciate your comments 🙏

@@workbenchhobbies4316 I found your review to be very fair and balanced pointing out the goods and bads of both sets, kudos to you for that. And I definitely agree about the AM sets. I'm guilty of spending three or four times more than what I paid for the kit on AM bling.

FYI: Ausf. stands for ausführung (German), which freely translates to version

Thanks Edwin. Sorry if I made a mess of my ‘ausf’ pronunciation 😂

Help! What is the wire for?😮

There is a small bag with the ‘connector’ tracks. These allow you to use the wire to connect them rather than having the snap them together (which would be just about impossible)

I found these to be very brittle.

Yeah…I found the same thing if you got the angles wrong. I think it was a little tricky because the pieces are so small. Maybe a bigger track would be better suited ? Appreciate you taking the time to comment 🙏🍺
