    That damn rat just got an IQ boost from seeing this trap. Mouse traps that work on rats are super rare, I’d like to see a few more but honestly I’m not holding my breath, so hard to make. That super expensive co2 trap can but it’s ludicrous how expensive it is especially for mice, (worth it for rats and squirrels though).

    use a broom stick handle to go across both sides and as other said do it over a trash can. also less stuff to print if you do just the paddles.

  • @dalefirmin5118
    @dalefirmin51186 жыл бұрын

    The rat was able to eat the bait from the edge of the bucket while holding on to the paddle. Make the rod longer so that the paddle is closer to the opposite side. Now make a baffle or shield cut from a second bucket and placed on top so that the rat can only access the paddle from the rod. Now that the paddle is further away, he must crawl out onto the rod. This should be just as effective for mice as well.

    Could it be improved with a home made pale? Maybe the pale could have a wider mouth? Wide enough so that a rat can't reach just to lick off the peanut butter bait. Maybe the ramp can be made by the printer to attach to the mill portion. Maybe the spindle of the mill could reach to the other side for greater support? Does it need greater support for the weight of a rat?

    I've been seeing alot of your videos, and I got to ask you, are you ever afraid of getting hantavirus or something? I don't know, I would wear gloves or something when releasing a mouse.
