3D printed Los Angeles 500-SHTT
Ғылым және технология
Another video leading going over the some of the very unique sirens that can only be found in Los Angeles and a bit of a teaser for what will soon be coming to the small siren shop on Etsy. I would have really loved to go more in depth on the affectionately named “legacy system “ in Los Angeles however I do have to manage my time constraints. In another video I will be uploading a tour of what it takes to actually make these sirens and it will hopefully give everyone a peak into how long it actually takes, plus I think a lot of people would appreciate getting to see a siren they may eventually own being constructed! Additionally a video about the “Sirodrones” and other misconceptions about the Los Angeles system will be made to give fellow siren nerds more insight into theories about the odd siren’s origins and possible swapping of poles and modifications done to them.

For real man
Looks awesome! Great job
I've lived near Number 108 in LA for 30 years now and never passed up a chance to look at it driving down Lassen St. Interesting to know this model is unique to LA.
Even has the square d logo on the control box! Might have to buy one of these in the future
You love your sirens! Can tell you have put a lot of time and energy in them. Keep up the good work!
I like the addition of the secondary conductor clevis's. Nice work

I would have added the liquid-tite conduit on the control cabinet as well but I just didn't bother. I tried to get these as reasonably detailed as I could.
I remember seeing one of these for the first time down the road from a Residence Inn near LAX back in 2018. I thought back then it was something akin to the 2001 and was used for tsunamis like in San Francisco, but of course it wasn’t. Great build, Connor!
Love the POV up the siren! Keep up the good work
Wow this is great! Awesome job!
Hey Connor, very impressive! The Model 500 is my favorite, being the closest one to where I grew up. Thanks for sharing!

I have no idea what to say other than that I am THRILLED to have you watch my videos. Thank you so much for your years of research into the legacy system! Although I no longer live in California, I still call it my home and every model I get to make brings me a little closer to it. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for me finding your website when I was little and spending hours looking over it. I'm glad to see more Angelino's discovering it and becoming siren hunters and enthusiasts themselves. It's an honor to have you in this community!

@@connorcruz6249 Thank you for your nice comments! I still find it amazing how many people have found my website useful, seeing as when I started it many years ago, it was more an exercise for me in mapping, long before Google Maps made it much easier. The siren locations were just data points to put on a map! On a side note, I picked up a 3D printer, and while it's been a lot of fun and a bit of a learning curve, it has mostly given me an appreciation of just how much time and effort you and Edaan and others have put into making your model sirens. Your end results are incredible!

I want one with the pole
maybe you can sell the pole but nothing else (no basket, control box, and steps) for people who want a more simple setup.

You can also separate the poll and make them interlock so it can be portable (as an option)

@@Thingbol95 That's kinda how I had it setup but I ended up glueing all the pole sections together because the whole thing was wobbly and would lean over🤷. But I'm glad someone had the same idea.
LA had the coolest CD system ever

I agree, I especially love that they use so many very rare siren variants and have a unique mounting system for them all

They'll be available soon!
You should take one the the SD-10s or 500’s and go right under a real one and sound it off. lol that would be funny
it doesn't have the right pitch because the rpm is higher
Misread the title as shit
