Love it. I briefly did a Google search of something like this, but couldn’t find anything. Then I come across this video two days later.

with Independence day recent, I found Snap Bangers at the fireworks tents. sadly they're smaller than the thunder snappers so they don't "fill" up the holes. this meant that i had maybe a 10% ignition rate. using a wide soda straw cut just a little larger than the length of my snappers helped a lot but it's still inconsistent on ignition. I'm not blaming the design, adding some info for people wanting to use this. you want the thunder snappers or something 6-7mm wide and about 35mm long.

this is brilliant. i was looking for something exactly like this. i was thinking of 3d printing a STIELHANDGRANATE and sticking one of these ontop

What is the benefit of using a bigger one? Storage wise I would always go smaller wouldn’t you?

Printed the big one off, thank you for the files. The lid is really tight, I had to use a mole grip to tighten it all the way up 🤷‍♂️

With printed threads using PLA I recommend a bit of Vaseline on both sets of threads when starting. The new PLA can cause a lot of stick slip making it very tight, once used a bit with Vaseline it works well.

@@adventureairsoft thanks, I ended up using some coconut oil just cause it was closer haha. I used 20% infill and the inner tube separated from the main body after about 6 uses. I got a couple of kills with it though

Not sure what I'm doing wrong with these but they don't go off very easily.

How did you get your caps to screw on so cleanly, I pry the cap on to get the threads to line up correctly.

Try a little bit of petroleum jelly on all off the threads some materials cause stick slip. You can also use a bit of oil just to get it going.

Where can buy snaps ??

Alas I believe the snap bangers aren’t legal in the UK any more (despite being on Amazon) as a result my local CQB site have said no to me using mine 😢

Not tried those but might look at it although i have tried the other kids snaps in a little paper bag. Just pop them inside work fine but not a loud

Silly question but how are you carrying the thunder snaps without the going off I.e being hit or if u trip n fall

I was using a little 3d printed case that worked like a draw holding 209 primers and snaps. I did see someone use a kinder egg with cotton wool in also.

So if these are 40mm wide could they be launched from an airsoft mortar the same way that NERF footballs usually get launched? (gassed-up 40mm shell behind it with no BBs, used as propellant only I believe)

I assume so but would have it be under 40mm to slide inside the barrel but if they were yes could launch them. Not sure if any site would allow it though.

@@adventureairsoft I have attended a site that allows certain types of projectiles for scenarios and the launching player is expected to basically miss on purpose and the projectile has a radius of (xx) number of feet where anyone in that range must call their hit. That'd be why I asked. Thanks for the info.

Apologies for the very late reply I missed the comment, Yes to prevent this you can tape around the outside or the inside of the grenade blocking the vent holes it will still function.

Are you still using these ? I'd love to see a one year update

Think that’s an issue with cura as I use cura. Try and adjust the scale the diameter is 40mm if that’s set the length should be ok

Hey. The snap bangers i find in my country are 5mm diameter and when i put it in the hole they are too loose . Can you please tell me the diameter of your snap bangers :) Thanks in advance .

Hi when we could buy them Geri the UK they are a similar diameter. The snap is designed to fit loose in the grenade and is set of with the force of the impact of the grenade hitting the floor.

Hi I did used to when they were allowed in games in the uk but not now. This is due to the actual flash bangs being banned.
