I own two Imalent lights, this one and the LD70 Mini, which actually boasts 4000lm. They are unique and possess the potential of high lumens in a very small package. They are solidly made but the low runtime and unfortunate side placement relegate them to the specialized category, rather than daily use. I refrain from using them as EDC lights for these reasons. On the BL50 you shown here, it is all too easy to have it set to a higher lumen value and then easily press the side switch to knock it down to five lumens. I've done this repeatedly and have adjusted my grip, but in the EDC world you don't want to have to have a special arrangement for your grip when you simply want to throw some light out front. I have heard some gossip, and I'll call it that, since I don't have any facts to back it up, that the company isn't doing well and could very well be on its last legs. That's unfortunate because there is the potential here for some very good flashlights. Thanks for taking the time to review this one, Jim! 🔦👊🔦

Solid points all around and I agree with them all. I love carrying and using it but it is t always the practical choice due to the body shape. I hope the rumors you heard weren’t true, they make a lot of cool lights and there would definitely be a void left behind if they were gone, especially in the extreme powered light segment.

I ordered two of the glow flashlights from Neal’s Gadgets recently. One of them had the glow material melted on box opening. It wasn’t cured properly or allowed to dry.
