This is why chosed locs. This is just too much maintenance for me. I just wash them once a week, mist right after for moisture, and then just oil and then call it a day lol. If I'm going somewhere I mist, all that and repeat. Waves I feel takes a specific type of patience. Hand mirror, soft brush, hard brush, mirror in the SHOWER, Fuck all that 😩😂

Btw doesn't soap damage your hair???

It's crazy because I got 720 waves in one night. I was at 2 1/2 length (mini fro) and used wash and go method. I brushed my hair in 720 direction using detangle brush shampoo and medium bristle brush. I brushed until I seen my hair go in the uniform pattern, once I seen the pattern I kept brushing with the lather until noodles and pattern was fully in. Then I used a soft brush and plastic bag method with castor oil to lay down my hair, and put the durag on, and washed the shampoo out. Once my hair was dry I took my 1 1/2 guard and cut hair in the direction with the grain that I did wash and go. Boom 720 waves instantly. I used this method every other day but when my hair is somewhat damp I take a hard brush with a little castor oil and brush hundreds of strokes until my arms hurt then use the previous method so my forks have definitely come in. Through all this experience I realized that these could have been secrets waver were gate keeping from everyone eles in the 80s and 90s and early 2000s. Im a 4c waver but the pattern and the sheen is in there. Respect to you brotha showing the guys the way.
