I would love to see some examples of someone using a blow dry brush on their own hair. I feel very awkward and have a hard time keeping the dry section separate from the wet.

Split your hair down the middle and then into quadrants. Then clip off the sections your not working on. Then pin the dry sections and continue. Hope that helps.

Your hair routine has helped me go 4 days between washes AND I use a blow dry brush to dry. Olaplex 3 before shower once a week, Redken extreme lengths shampoo and hair mask, purology color extend leave in, Redken big blowout cream, and olaplex 7 to oil my ends and my hair has never been healthier or more beautiful. I’ve even ditched my flat iron because I don’t need it anymore.🎉🎉🎉

I would also add that when using a blow dryer brush you start at the roots first. They take longer to dry so hitting them first will make it easier to dry the lengths of the hair evenly without overheating. Then move to the mids, and then the ends, as the ends are more porous and dry faster. This also keeps you from drying already dry areas over and over.

Hi Chris, after following your advice for shampoo and styling products, I find that I can go 4 or 5 days in between washings. Thank you for all the great info. As for blow dry brushes, I use one when I travel. My shoulder length, fine hair sometimes gets kinked overnight despite tying it up and using a satin pillowcase. I find that using the cool setting really helps get the kink out and refresh the style without heat. I think this may only work for fine hair. I don’t have to do this all the time, just every once in a while. Also, I find that using the cool setting as the very last step in drying each section, really seals the style. Thanks again for all the great advice videos.

Chris' advice and tips have been such a GAME CHANGER for my hair I can't stress it enough!!! It was because of his videos that I finally decided to get a blow dry brush and try it myself (I have very very curly hair) and using all of his tips I can get a beautiful beautiful blowdry that looks amazing (and I'm not an expert at all, quite the opposite). Then I also tried the blowdry products he recommended and it was even better! 🤩 I really can't thank you enough!!! 💜🙌🏻🤩🎉

This is very helpful, I thought the heat protectant needed to be globbed on 😂 Although I do still struggle with not styling once again because I get dents from EVERYTHING girl. Satin, silk, claw clips, everything gives me a dent 🙄

I have very thin long hair. What do I do if I have already slightly damaged my hair from a blow dry brush? I just started using Redken hair products which seems to have helped. Is there anything else I should be doing? Your videos have changed my life. Thank you for all of the knowledge.

I’ve been getting my hair done professionally since 1997. I’ve watched how the stylist does it for many years. I flip my hair upside down, focusing on the roots. Then I section it and use a round brush. Great results , especially if you use a heat protectant. Olivia Garden or a boar bristle brush are what I’ve found to be the best brushes

Love boar bristle paddle brush to add volume after I use my blow dry brush. I flip my head over, brush underneath all around, then brush the top into my style and bam instant volume and a little bend around my face. I have long layers in the back and face frame in the front. I have fine hair and this lasts my three or four days. If you train your hair to only be washed a few times a week it produces less oil. I grew up in the 70 and washed my hair once a week and did an overnight set on sponge rollers. I had rocking bouncy curls all week. The trick is to not touch your hair.
