So I would suggest that when your hair is freshly cut and or lower try use the butter! Once it’s higher and you need more help laying it down to train it then switch over to pomade

He forgot to tell you not to use a cheap pomade like Murray's. Go for a more expensive higher quality wave pomade that has moisturizer in it. Like shea moisture wave pomade. Cheap wave pomade are made out of Vaseline which is terrible for your hair... Spend the extra money on an oil based pomade (You get what you Pay for) if you care about the health of your hair and scalp. The oil based pomade like shea moisture pomade lay your waves and moisturize your scalp and hair. Cheap pomade that's Vaseline based well lay your hair and waves buy won't moisturize and nourish your scalp and hair. Just my 2 cents lol...

Murray's is not cheap, instead, some hair textures are challenged. Brotha's been spinning for decades and Murray's was a primary hairdress, along with Dax pomade. Spinning didn't start a few years ago, therefor, it's not the product. Just more intense products are available now, for less... conforming hair. textures.

This video is misleading. Not all pomades are created equally. I use a pomade with jamaican black castor oil, shea butter, olive oil and beeswax as the main ingredients. So you don't actually have to choose between a pomade or hair butter. Just buy a better quality pomade.
