Entry changes would be to tile the entry (and garage entry) so as not to destroy the wood flooring, and add doors between the front entry and living areas to keep cold drafts/wind out. The other change would be to swap the upstairs laundry and bathroom spaces (laundry in the smaller space) and adding a door from the master bedroom to the bathroom, resulting in a semi en-suite. There appears to be room for this swap in the plan if the bathroom is the larger space. Overall, very thoughtful design, especially the upstairs laundry. Another winner, Jasper!

I love the entry, and open concept fans will love the spacious living/dining/kitchen. I'll ignore the fireplace and remark that the kitchen has adequate counter space, though I'd try to tuck in a pantry cabinet at or near the garage access. I appreciate the discreet placement of the powder room. On the stairway, I think the angled step could be avoided. Upstairs laundry is sensible. My suggestions are quite minor, so it must be a great plan!

Imaginative design in a two-story layout. Since most laundry is created in bedrooms, we are seeing more and more laundry rooms on the same level as the bedrooms. It would be easy to add a third bedroom over the garage, making this design much more practical for a young family just starting out. And in this part of the United States, the bookcases under the stairway on the first floor would be replaced with stairs down to the full basement, giving the owner additional space at about 40% of the cost per square foot of the finished floors. Love the park-like landscaping!

Very nice house. It is almost a modern interpretation of a Small Toronto Bay And Gable home. Very nice to see an update on that 200 year old style of home.

Well done - a practical functional design for a small family. I love all the big windows. The back door and half bath are positioned perfectly. You've gone a little more elegant with the decor. I like it, but I like your usual warm quirky ecletic style even more - maybe you will bring that back soon on sone of your future houses? (Especially the kitchen - I see the appeal of a giant refrigerator and a formal rug and a huge island, but seems more like someone else's style rather than your style.) Your style is coming through in the shelves under the stairs - I love them. Since the washer/dryer is in its own room, don't need to have cabinet doors. That's just for when the washer/dryer opens onto the living area. The garage has enough floor space for two cars but they couldn't both fit through that garage door - just show a single car or make a garage with a wider door. Have you thought of carports for some houses? Those can be nice too.

Beautiful work Jasper. Enjoyed the video immensely. How long have you been designing home and creating videos like this? Your skill and talent is very apparent. I'd like to watch a video that is very similar to this home where the half bath downstairs is not so close to the kitchen or common areas. Occasionally when we have visitors over the house, someone will use the bathroom to drop a deuce, and the smell travels into the kitchen and meanders on the first floor! Another design idea I'd like to incorporate in a plan if I ever have my home built someday, is to have a automatic garage door at both ends of garage so you never have to back in or out. I as well noticed the garage door not being quite big enough for both cars to drive in and out of. I agree with you to make the garage door just a bit larger for two cars to properly fit.

Very nice awesome job on this one also only thing is the upstairs bathroom I would like Tab and they're a walk-in shower or more preferably a tub with a shower I for one am not into the stand-alone tubs other than that I think it's got a great layout I like to style everything's perfectly in its place

Just so you know, I never left I watch and click just didn't comment for a while. As for this home... I'd have an inclosed closet at the entryway. You need a place for winter coats here in Indiana. I'd do a different island so chairs can be used at it and ditch the table and chairs so there is more room. I don't care for a garage attached to the house due to easy break-ins so I'd close up the overhead doors inside not on the outside and turn that room into a huge master bedroom, family room, Game/movie room and I can always set up a dinning table if I had a lot of people for dinner. I love the reading nook very nice. Now upstairs both bedrooms are very pretty love the colors. Bath is perfect. But I'm just not a fan of that laundry room at all. So now l'm thinking in the garage area should be the master bedroom with a big laundry room and a full master bathroom. That room being that big could be 2 rooms. So now that upstairs laundry room can be a storage closet. It's all beautiful but some times older people can't use stairs and ya got to keep them in mind too. Love your designs, always have. ❤️❤❤❤❤❤ Wow just went back to see how the curtains are done in the blue bedroom. Love the colors and how two are together and I got a big surprise! Now I don't like them at all! That is very strange way to hang curtains but maybe ok for windows that curtains never get closed on.
