alternatively, if you didn't stumble upon it beforehand: you could have used ventoy where you can just drag and drop iso and img files onto the usb stick while you can boot from it and select from which img/iso file you want to boot.

F**k I don't think have gateway thing in the network

The only reason I don't like these USB solutions is lack of bandwidth. I'd rather full-install to an SSD even when just playing around because I want to experiment with intensive stuff like editing before I commit to a distribution. I just buy cheap 120GB SSD's and test with them. By cheap I mean like the last ones I bought were $7 or so.

With ram getting cheaper, you can get the best of both worlds by net booting and use toram to boot the entire system into ram.

was gonna say this. ventoy is the actual thing thats supposed to do this and u can add as many iso's as you desire. i love ventoy
