As a hunter and an avid airgun hunter, I don't think shooting a Axis fawn up against a fence is what the anti hunting and anti gun groups need to see on youtube. I support your legal rights, but we are in a fight and this is not good for anyone to see brother.

If not, I hope your charges are reasonable. If I can give a little advice, your scope has too much magnification for this type of shooting and you don't need a dot plus reticle for long range. You would be more comfortable with a 1-6 or 1-8 type telescope in the 1st focal plane with a sufficient reticle to compensate for your falls between 30 and 100m. I guess you shot the 81grs jsb, preferred NSA or hybrid slug and push your regulator to 165 bar for more punch and stoppage, I hope to see nice video of well controlled headshot. Thank you for your video the shots are pretty but more appropriate to more explosive firearms with an impact from an ethical point of view. That said I encourage people to hunt with compressed air I think these weapons have their place but it requires a little more advanced skills than conventional uses of firearm caliber.

As a hunter myself i found this disgusting, your first shot caused the animal to suffer because it really lacked the power to do the job properly. This video gives the anti shooting groups every reason to call for bans

They are most likely farm-raised and there is nothing wrong with that to put meat in the freezer. Activists are going to protest no matter what you do. If you give them an inch they will take a mile. So they can f*ck off literally. They claim to be vegans but don't talk about the culling of burrowing owls, ferrets, and other field animals that get culled to plant soybeans and other vegetables. Brother thats a shot almost at the elbow of the deer, its nowhere near a clean heart/lung shot If you hit it right in the kill box and uts still a poor kill, youre not bringing enough power to the table. He's bringing something with the energy of 22lr or less.

Almost is a little subjective. 22lr 40gr @ 1200fps is 128ftlb ... 9mm 82gr @ 900fps is 147ftlb. So i would not say "or less" after saying "bringing the power of a 22lr". And the 82gr has more momentum to boot. Also, illegal or not, the 22lr has killed more deer than than you might think. Ive never done it personally, but i know plenty of rednecks that have. Well placed head shot and they drop like a rock. As for this video, this guy made a good shot. The deer was on the ground within 50 yrds and would have succumbed to that wound without the follow up shot. So you may not agree it was a good shot, and thats fine, its your prerogative. I think it was, we just have 2 different points of view. Some people don't think air rifles should be used to hunt at all. I disagree with, and Lewis and Clark would've disagreed too because they used an air rifle on their expedition across North America back in 1804. A modern Fx .35cal is plenty capable of taking deer as the guy in this video clearly shows. He made a good shot on a moving target.

Sorry, this isn't hunting. Shooting fenced in deer isn't a sport, except for city people. The deer had no place to run to, except for back and forth in front of you. Go into the woods and shoot a deer with you FX M3,,,, then ill be impressed.

He's states that it's species control on privately owned land. I think the ammo is questionable. A 81 grain pellet is the bear minimum for this kind of animal.
