You are probably the only youtuber that measured the dimensions of the packaging box including the pellet. That was very helpful as I don't have a pick up and really wanted to ship one back to Canada.

Got mine for $430 and it’s awesome. Fuck those expensive carts. I’m a DYI guy, and it’s been amazing use for 4 months now.

Nice deal! I use mine a lot and very much enjoy each time I use it. Thanks for watching.
I hate chrome and I love that they went with the black on black. Good thorough review tho 👍🏼
It's best to have someone help you lift this tool cart up, It's very heavy. Have had mine for over a year now and love it.
Thank you for the measurements that incorporated the packaging. I have a quarter inch to spare inbetween my wheel wells. 2010 equinox.

Cool. You can try 1/4" clear tubing and slice it open along it's length to use as hole grommets. Just cut the length to match the hole circumference.

Awesome video! Picking mine up tomorrow. How heavy is the box. Will I need someone to help me get it out of my car and lay it down and back up to install the casters.

@learnsavediy Crow bars, pry bars, breaker bars fit nicely in those larger holes. Torque wrenches too.
Picked up my brand new one today with 20% HF member discount plus kind store manager additional discount end up $423+ tax(Listing price is $629.). Great cart and hold up a lots of tools. Most of stores are out of stock. Plan to order another one. I have 5 drawers service cart, 2 26 inch roller cabinets and 34 inches service cart.

Nice! So I went in to order mine today thinking the labor day weekend coupons, 20% worked. Nope. Then they told me it's an order item and will take about 2 months to arrive. 🙄 How long did it take from order to when you were able to pick up? Great vid thanks!! Oh yeah, I'm gonna get the Green one, i think🤔 maybe the Orange 👌

I just bought mine during a BlackFriday promo. Though the employees wont let me take it in a suburban. Cause it says “do not tip on the box”. Every video shows it on its backside to install the casters. Any reason why it shouldn’t be transported laying down?
@learnsavediy
Жыл бұрын
Odd. My guess is they don’t want you to return it with any dents or damage to the sides. The packaging on the sides is significantly thinner than the top and bottom of the box but as you saw in the video the box was unharmed. Maybe try going a different day and time to get different employees?
@heather2418

Guess it depends on where you live. The employees here let me take it laying down in my SUV. They loaded it for me and wished me luck unloading. (It is HEAVY.) It arrived home just fine, and yes you'll need to lay it down to put on the casters anyway.
I am about to drop the hammer on buying the "Yellow Submarine" color, can you tell me how you managed to man-handle this 392.26 pounds of toolbox? I will be bringing mine home in a 2019 Santa Fe, how or what did you use to cushion the drop from your Jeep to your garage floor? I used the extra recycle bins on the large Tool Cart I bought a few weeks ago on top of one a moving blanket to help myself. Thanks for your insight.
@learnsavediy
Жыл бұрын
The guys at harbor freight helped me load in the back. Easily done with 2 guys but a breeze with 3+. I’d recommend putting a thick blanket underneath before you lay it in so you can use that pull it out and also protect your rear bumper. I just slowly backed it out and then supported it as I lowered it to the ground. I’d only pull it closer to the ground the further I’d pull it out. Best advice is to get a buddy, but I did it myself just slowly. You can also get a bunch of stacked up cardboard and use that as a ramp down.

@@learnsavediy How did the big unload go once you got home and it was just you? That was my question really, I don't want to impose on a neighbor if I can get it by myself. Thanks.
@learnsavediy
Жыл бұрын
@@paulshaar4187 honestly it wasn’t too bad. As long as you have decent upper body strength you can definitely do it. Just watch the car bumper as you come down and do it slowly and you can do it. The blanket underneath helped me easy slide it out but yes you can do it yourself if you have upper body strength. Good luck!

Aren't the larger holes for stuff like ratchets
@learnsavediy

Potentially. Only a few of my 1/2 drive fit. The problem is the ratchet can’t have anything on the handle and needs to have a fat enough head to hang. I can only use my 1/2 drive craftsman. My others don’t work.

I wonder if you can sit on the drawer. I had a coworker at the last shop I worked at that had an orange Snap On Tool box that looked literally exactly like this one and he would sit on the edge of the bottom drawer and it wouldn't flex or anything. Then again he was a small dude as well. Maybe weighed 120lbs.
