    Thank you for pointing this out! This must have changed within the last while because when I got it warrantied, they told me to keep the warranty receipts because the new stuff had to have proof of purchase. Looks like it’s no longer required. Horray!!! “Same warranty for all new CRAFTSMAN® models (Model # starting with “CMMT”) and older models (Model # starting with “9”). No proof of purchase required. Return damaged product to a stocking Retail Partner or contact Customer Care…” as of (7/22/24)

    At 11:24, i carefully removed all those clips. Then in order to set the TV on its back again, i put the rear cover back on and laid it down, and in the process broke every single one of those clips 🙄. Will the boards be ok to just sit in there after the backlight repair, since it will be closed up or am i screwed? Also does those "conductive tape" strips need to get stuck back to the boards again or is that just another method to hold them in place? I'f I'm going to be screwed without the clips, is there somewhere I can order replacement clips? Thanks!

  • @learnsavediy
    @learnsavediy4 күн бұрын

    Unfortunately with how cheap they make TV's, the plastic parts don't hold up well. The clips help them from not getting damaged so honestly whatever you can rig up to keep them safe should be fine (i.e., tape, zip ties, etc.). Tape can do wonders!

    Do you have a video on the lift rod? I can pull the lever up and down but the drain stays shut still

  • @learnsavediy
    @learnsavediy9 күн бұрын

    I don’t but maybe we can walk through it! The end of the lift rod from the sink goes down to pivoting rod which has a ball on the end of it. That ball moves up and down in response to the lift rod being moved. The ball end of the pivoting rod connects to the sink stopper so it could be broken or disconnected. A very easy fix but can be bit of pain to line up. Let me know and I can always do a video!

  • @mr.perksy
    @mr.perksy8 күн бұрын

    @@learnsavediy thanks so much, appreciate the tips. I ended up buying a new drain stopper as the piece at the bottom of the original one with the whole broke off it. With that said once I dropped the stopper in the sink I had trouble lining up the whole with the pivot rod. It was very hard to see it as you said. But somehow I guess even though I could not get the pivot rod through the whole it was still touching it and the stopper was moving up and down. When I lift up the lift rod the drain just about goes all the way up. Enough to where it does hold the water. When I push down the lift rod the drain stopper comes back up but it’s almost a little too high up but should be ok. Everything seems to work, although not perfect, so I think I will leave it as is?

  • @learnsavediy
    @learnsavediy2 күн бұрын

    I personally haven’t but I’m sure any way you could think of keeping it fastened would work. Welding would be the cleanest but even some nuts and bolts would do the job. It just needs to stay put.

    Hey! Thanks for the vid. Do you know what to do if the sharpener just won’t sharpen one side of the pencil? I’m having a hard time understanding why. It occurs even if I twist the pencil around to “push” a certain side against barrel; if I turn it in a circle in the barrel; etc. I’ve gone through a few pencils trying to figure it out.

  • @learnsavediy
    @learnsavediy18 күн бұрын

    Have you looked at the blade itself? I’m guessing one of the blades is misaligned or dull. You could also try moving the pencil around by changing the angle you insert it. On the very rare chance, maybe you’ve got a bad batch of pencils? Some cheap ones will have non-straight cores so it will never look straight.

  • @Steezey7
    @Steezey718 күн бұрын

    @@learnsavediy LOL, so I’m a bit naïve with this stuff. I didn’t even think that the core could be misaligned. I had a whole collection of “American Craft” colored pencils gifted to me. Turns out that the core is misaligned in nearly every single pencil. Maybe one of those cheap manual ones will do a good finishing job on them.

    The shaft is shaped to fit the blade it shouldn’t spin if the blade is fixed, unless the shaft is broken or rounded extremely. You could try using an impact gun or wedging something between the blade and saw body so just the shaft spins (power disconnected of course)
